I was only a little disappointed with my last visit because the salon was not clean. There were hand prints all over the mirror and chairs. The tech's child was there so she was playing cartoons instead of the regular spa music so it wasn't as relaxing as before. Not a big deal, but the details do matter in some cases. I do have another Groupon to use with them so I hope to have a better experience next time. Their prices are reasonable and they offer a good variety of services.

I suggest it to friends, or anyone who asks about waxing in Savannah. The salon is located on Bull street. It is next door to Foxy Loxy cafe. Sometimes parking can be difficult to find. So, plan to arrive early to give yourself time to find parking. Wax & Wane is in a renovated two story house. There are multiple rooms, a small lobby, sitting area, two bathrooms, and small shopping areas. It is warm and cozy inside the house. When you walk in it feels inviting. Every staff member is incredibly kind. I don't have a favorite technician. Because everyone is always so nice! The staff does their job precisely and efficiently. They are happy to answer any questions you may have. They take great care to make sure every room is clean and sanitized before and after every client. When you walk into the salon hand sanitizer is on your left as soon as you open the door. The prices at Wax & Wane are generally less expensive then at most waxing salons. Because all they do is waxing. All of their pricing is listed clearly on their user friendly website. Wax & Wane Waxing Salon is female owned. It is also a locally owned business. While he invited me to come in person to talk, he also told me I could only receive a refund if I deleted my negative reviews, something I'm not comfortable doing before any resolution is found. Third Update- Long Version: When I called on Sunday, the two women who answered were incredibly kind and genuinely tried to help. I explained that returning to a nail salon three days in a row simply wasn't feasible for me, and they forwarded me to Ken for further assistance. My conversation with him took an unexpected turn. Although he stated their policy allows refunds within three business days, which hadn't yet passed, he still declined due to "company policy" and referenced my unfavorable review as a reason. He repeatedly suggested that a refund would only be considered if I removed my review. I understand wanting to protect a new business's reputation, but I don't believe customers should be asked to alter their honest experiences in exchange for help. I also explained that the nail tech I saw was wonderful, and that my return the following day was my attempt to let the business address the issue. Despite this, I left the call feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. I genuinely wanted to love this place, and I hope their approach to handling dissatisfied customers improves. Empathy and resolution shouldn't hinge on removing an honest review. Second Update: I got my nails done on Friday and had to go back Saturday due to a nail chipping (I got gel over an acrylic fill) It's now Saturday night and three more nails chipped/are lifting. I'll be calling in the morning to speak to a manager. This is unacceptable.
