It's great, I hardly spend over $20. Service is pretty crappy here, the staff don't really care much for it's customers as I've never seen one help someone out. When I've had a question, it's answered by the staff in the shortest sentence possible and without directing me in the right direction. But then again, if I were a staff member here, surrounded by items with really low value, I'd start to feel pretty low value myself. Maybe that's it. They don't like their job. I don't care too much though, because it's not like I come here for their customer service. I'm in, then out.

I was surprised to find some good steel framed chairs for kids. They were really cheap too, with disney characters on them. I had been looking for these ones for a while, not the cheap plastic ones with legs that bend, these are good steel hardy ones. Saves me a trip to IKEA to tell you the truth and i'm thankful for that. What you will also find here are your usual bargain shop nonsense, but they do have a pretty good range of wall stickers and doorway hanger uppers as well as party accessories that don't suck. Truly. I bought a lot of party stuff for my daughter's first here. The staff know where everything is in the chaos that is their store, and are pretty friendly too. I'd definetely come here for cheap batteries or specific knick knacks I need through the year.

I grabbed one in every colour of the rainbow. They've extended their premises since I was last here but that's just more room for wonderment. Most things are $10 and under and from kitchen gadgets, stationery, party costumes and party decor you're every cheap-ass need is covered here. Heck, I even picked up a $5 iPhone case that screams - I just don't give a damn what my iPhone case says about me anymore. Walk in for a gander and come out loaded with cheep and cheerful treasures!

Darra is known for its Asian grocery stores, authentic Viet/Chinese restaurants, but this fresh food market in Darra has got to be one of the best here. It may look a bit run down from the outset, but definitely not compromised in terms of stock. The fruit are all good quality but they are not the most good looking. Some are oddly shaped, mismatched and with slight grazes, but still very tasty. In fact, there was a fruit picker who once told me that, big super market chains prefer to pick really traditionally good looking fruit, but it may not necessarily product the best taste. Whereas, small grocers like this are happy to sell on the odd looking ones with good rich flavour at a fraction of the cost. I would urge you all to give these little guys a chance, it's worth it. K & K Fresh Food Market don't just sell fresh fruit and veg produce, they also have an extensive range of Asian canned and packet goods inside the store. You will find a massive range in noodles from thin rice noodles to thick egg noodles, a variety of rice and packeted frozen meats. There is plenty of Asian cooking oil, sauces, seasonings, spices and more to be found here at considerably low prices to that in Woolies or Coles. If you are planning on making an Asian dish, I would highly recommend going to this ethnic grocer, K & K's, as opposed to a bit chain supermarket, so you can get the most authentic flavours at a fraction of the cost. I would also like to add, that this place is quite busy on weekends particularly on a Sunday where there is often a rush of people after mass investing in their weekly household goods.

Measuring spoons, plastic bag holders (yes, they're a thing!), bowls, tea towels, plates, dog leads, napkins, and even candles are all neatly displayed in their "print story" categories making a visit to MOZI on trendy James Street an organised mind's dream. Everything is in its place and it makes it that much easier to find what you're looking for. It's fun without being frivolous and twee without being saccharine. If you're looking for a quirky and unique gift for a loved one getting married, moving into a new house, having a baby, birthday, engagement, just because...you get the point...MOZI should most certainly be on your list. The prices are what I personally would consider reasonable with most items being under $40. PS: If someone gifts me the sequined fox tote, I might just have kittens.
