The claims of "cheap" stuff are only that.. claims. Just the condition of the store was questionable, as it seemed most stuff was just scattered around, aimlessly. There wasn't much I found to get, which was somewhat disappointing. It felt like a cross between Kmart, Rose's, Big Lots, Dollar General and your typical dingy little outlet store you see in 90s movies. The only thing I ended up with was a light blue bath towel. It's not bad, but I will admit that it's the only bath towel I own that had mystery stains on it after the first use. It's like it bleached itself. I didn't do anything different with it and it still rebelled for some reason. I'm not blaming Ollie's specifically, but it's still something to be aware of if you're in the market for one. Service wasn't bad during my visit. I would check other locations before I'd make a definite conclusion on the chain. However, in regards to this one?.. It's a "meh" at best.

With only one cashier on a Saturday, the checkout line wrapped the interior of a very busy store. It took almost an hour for me just to checkout. Additionally the one cashier was a very old woman who moved soooooo slowly (not her fault), so that's why it took so long - the wait for checkout was so long, several people gave up and went to the nearby Dollar Tree.

It's self checkout in the front with cute paper bags. The chip section has fun unusual flavors, some are Japanese and Mexican flavors. They also have a good selection of seasonings. I enjoy just looking around to see what's new. They had some cute faux cast iron dishes. So if you're tempted to snag those cute cast iron dishes from the restaurant, just pay $5 to get your own!!! Lol. The prices are pretty reasonable on most things, some things are slightly pricier. They also have pretty candles and electronic and phone accessories. The store is pretty cool. Definitely check them out!!!

By far the best place to get general beach equipment (swim suits, towels, sun screen, boogie…read moreboards, etc.) at a very low price, especially for the location. Also, if you're interested in henna, this is definitely the place to go. After I got my henna done I smeared it and the man who did it, Camila, fixed it for free (granted it wasn't a major smear). So I diverted my path to Five Below. Grabbing a shopping cart, I immediately chose an item from the outside bins for my Grandson. Then I shopped aisle by aisle, which isn't normal for me. Finding 5 pound weights to hold on my walks was a plus. Prices were good. Check out service was located at the front. I've always gone back to this store until they built the larger, closer store at Haygood Shopping Center. Located in Hilltop Plaza Shopping Center, the store is convenient if you're in the First Colonial or Hilltop corridors. Errands there can be easily combined with shopping at adjacent PetSmart and Trader Joe's. Parking is plentiful. The store and shopping center is clean and well maintained. The shopping center has easy access from the back side to I-264. Leaving through the entrance on Laskin Road provides options for either Virginia Beach Boulevard, Great Neck Road or I-264. I'm sure I'll return if I am in that area, just not as often since they've built a closer, larger store. Oh..... And everything's not Five or Below. :)

This store is well-stocked with most of the items you can expect at Dollar Tree and they open pretty early so I was able to sneak in before work and get everything taken care of quickly. This shopping center has a major issue with parking where there isn't enough for the two restaurants, this shop, the gym, nail salon and Sentara walk-in center. That is my main issue here, otherwise, all good!

Maybe more items in the refrigerator section?…read more It just sucks that this is the only Dollar Tree that never has anything stocked especially the refrigerated items. They also have close to nothing in the snack aisle either. And the little stud that works there always on her phone and when you ask her when they're going to restock, her answer is...."Idk...I don't handle that stuff"... It's bad enough this plaza is already damn near empty as it is. You might as well shut this Dollar tree down cause they only restock seasonal items and they hide all the good stuff for themselves.

There are always carts of things that need stocked which are usually in front of things making it hard to find things. Hopefully with the facelift on the front of this strip mall it will either be expanded or get a internal makeover. However, I will continue to shop here and make my way through the maze to get what I need.
