The claims of "cheap" stuff are only that.. claims. Just the condition of the store was questionable, as it seemed most stuff was just scattered around, aimlessly. It felt like a cross between Kmart, Rose's, Big Lots, Dollar General and your typical dingy little outlet store you see in 90s movies. The only thing I ended up with was a light blue bath towel. It's not bad, but I will admit that it's the only bath towel I own that had mystery stains on it after the first use. It's like it bleached itself. I didn't do anything different with it and it still rebelled for some reason. I'm not blaming Ollie's specifically, but it's still something to be aware of if you're in the market for one. Service wasn't bad during my visit. I would check other locations before I'd make a definite conclusion on the chain. However, in regards to this one?.. It's a "meh" at best.

With only one cashier on a Saturday, the checkout line wrapped the interior of a very busy store. It took almost an hour for me just to checkout. Additionally the one cashier was a very old woman who moved soooooo slowly (not her fault), so that's why it took so long - the wait for checkout was so long, several people gave up and went to the nearby Dollar Tree.

It's literally a one stop shop and the prices are very affordable. I purchased a super cute can opener, two beautiful kitchen bowls and some snacks for a little over $20. At the front of the store was a 4th of July display so if you're looking for affordable decor, definitely check them out. We were instructed to use the self-service checkout. Upon hearing that, two employees came over to ring us up and bag all our items saying we are "Assisted Checkout" and it is okay to help us. He even offered to help us carry all four oversized bags to our car. He was tall in stature, but so much higher in our esteem. I didn't even know this Dollar Tree was here but I'm glad that it was bc I put together some gift…read morebags for the girls at my daughter's daycare and realized I forgot two of the girls so I had to stop on my way to work to make two more bags! This store is well-stocked with most of the items you can expect at Dollar Tree and they open pretty early so I was able to sneak in before work and get everything taken care of quickly. This shopping center has a major issue with parking where there isn't enough for the two restaurants, this shop, the gym, nail salon and Sentara walk-in center. That is my main issue here, otherwise, all good!

They also have close to nothing in the snack aisle either. There are always carts of things that need stocked which are usually in front of things making it hard to find things. Hopefully with the facelift on the front of this strip mall it will either be expanded or get a internal makeover.
