I speak from experience when I say that this area is crime-ridden. The first thing that came to my mind was that she was signaling to someone that I was a good mugging target. It was a Sunday at 9pm as the store, and the town, were closing down for the night. In the parking lot was an idling car just a few feet away and my mind continued to race... were they waiting for me? Or were they just waiting for an employee to get off work? It felt like forever to get my groceries in the car. Now I had to make sure that idling car wasn't following me. Being a 64 year old female on oxygen, nothing will send me back to that store.

Yes, some prices are higher than the national chains, but some are the same and some are lower. The store employees are friendly and helpful. The hidden gem of this store is the fresh baked bread and rolls. Each day a truck comes from Denver around 2-3 p.m. and delivers still-hot items. The hoagie type rolls are 3 for $1.00, huge in size, delicious and a bargain. Some of their sourcing is extremely unique. An example, bottled sauerkraut from Bavaria. Totally unlike anything made in the U.S. Much milder. This store deserves a try from everyone. The company originated in Los Angeles and carved out a niche by servicing a largely Hispanic clientele. The Colorado operation I suspect originally was a franchise type set-up, but it is now employee owned.

There is a staging area where you can open the packages and reseal them. You can also test if electronics are working. A plus cause no one wants to get home and find out an item doesn't work. If you're expecting to find things neat and tidy this store is not for you! It's a bin store with 100's of people passing through. If the owner spent every minute of their free time trying to keep this store tidy no one would be able to shop. The CUSTOMERS not all some get rude and do not follow the posted guidelines! It gets messy...gloves are provided. Bring your patience and allow yourself time to go through the store...you just might find that one item that makes it worth the experience!

My husband and I were able to get down about 3 aisles before we moved on to the cloths towards the front of the store. My husband was then followed by the owner for a few minutes before she asked, not so nicely, to put the bin items down forward facing, and to not "mess it up". For context, these are long, tall bins full of items making a pile. The intention behind bins is to look through them, so i thought. I will emphasize that we were not being disrespectful nor rude either to the items or the staff. When my husband replied "im just shopping, as are you", we were told " Well I am the owner" and that we were no longer allowed to purchase our items and shortly kicked out of the location as the owner cussed at us, something about "your ass". I really am not sure why the situation escalated so quickly, as we were just looking at items like everyone else as well as following the rules of not opening anything. Hope you have a better experience.. if you choose this place. Not sure how high the value or quality of the products they sell.. We weren't allowed to buy anything. There aren't many discount stores in Pueblo, but definitely places better than this.

I know a lot of people like this thrift store, it's one of the most recommended ones in the area…read more But I saw a *used* sideboard table priced for $300. $300! You can get NEW furniture cheaper at Walmart. It wasn't even solid wood, it was some wood veneer stuff. I mentioned something at the front and they went hard about oUr MiNiStRy and all of the programs they support. Which is fine and all, but the ministry can ALSO support low income people by not charging offensive prices on items they get for free. God only knows if they really use the money responsibly. (Also the lady who checked me out was standoffish with me from the get go, before I even opened my mouth to say hi.) The expectation, when one donates to a thrift store, is that their items will go to someone else who needs those items at an affordable price. Not that some organization will use the items to do charity gymnastics by overcharging. They should be focused first and foremost on ministering to the low-income people who come to thrift stores to get affordable furniture. Not freaking $300 for a small sideboard buffet. Anyway so I would recommend donating your furniture to the ARC rather than here, if you want to see it actually passed on affordably to families in need. But if you're looking to buy clothes, this is unfortunately probably the better bet in town. I feel gross giving them my money now. I think it's disgusting when any thrift shop takes advantage of donations finance their special interests. Just let people have somewhere affordable to shop; Lord knows we need it in this economy.

Easy to get to, great parking and has the best prices of the other thrifts in Pueblo; Goodwill and ARC. That being said, if you are looking for ski wear, this is the place to go. Nearly new ski wear for all ages. I really couldn't believe it. Lots of beginner's try and give up. Their cloth's are here!! With inflation being what it is you are crazy to shop retail - so many good finds at such reasonable prices. Try and buy . . . you won't be disappointed!
