The employee working behind the checkout counter (the only counter open) is an older white lady wearing a t-shirt that has a drawing of Donald Trump's hair and the caption underneath says, "Send him to the big house, not to the White House". Do you REALLY want to isolate about half the customers by allowing your employee to wear this? I politely checked out, thanked her for the receipt then I said on the way out, "By the way I'm voting for Trump." To this she scrunches her face and seems a little uneasy, maybe embarrassed??? I said, "Your manager really shouldn't let you wear that shirt in a workplace where the public comes every day." She just scoffed it off. I think it is boycott-worthy myself....at least for Trump supporters. I'd love to hear how the manager justifies political rhetoric on an employee t-shirt in retail where many customers do not agree. First amendment rights, ok...but smart? No. (I'm sure there is a company policy being violated.)

Nothing was sorted and the Christmas stuff was still out. Unlike many DG's this is still in one of the older buildings. Lonr Oak is a busy part of Paducah, so maybe a new DG is coming soon. I will try to stop back by soon to see if maybe I just hit the store on a bad day. We all know that those happen, right?

This was my first time being to an Ollie's that was so new. I thought it was odd that they were so…read morebusy on a Thursday afternoon. Then I found out they'd just opened the other day. I mainly come to Ollie's for comics. I was surprised to see that they had so few. I later went to a new location in Orlando and found the same situation. I guess that's normal for a brand new Ollie's. I still managed to make a few good finds, and the rest of the store was like any other Ollie's. Worth coming to every once in a while to see what closeouts they have. I expect the comics will be more full after a few shipments.
