Of course I ended up with things in my cart that I didn't go in for but I also didn't come home with what I wanted - the skim milk was set to expire the next day and the only available size of the laundry pods that I wanted would last me a year. Target is not much different than a number of stores today - finding help was nearly impossible. I used self checkout which I'm sure got me out a whole lot faster than waiting in the only open check out lane. I'm not about to give up online shopping anytime soon but spending an hour strolling around Target was a nice distraction.

The produce was fresh and plentiful. The bakery and deli area was fully stocked. The meat section was full. I was looking for horseradish and the person in the meat department was able to help me find the horseradish. They still sell kimchi and I bought some! It's Jonga brand from Korea. I like this store better than I have in years.

The clientele is generally a bit rude (like I got side eye when I asked if someone would scoot over so I could procure some shredded cheese...after I politely waited for at least 2 minutes for them to move--they were texting). Parking is a hold-your-breath-someone-may-rear-end-you experience. The produce, meats, etc. aren't even up to Walmart's mediocre standards and I'm not sure why. The other: Depending upon your likes/dislikes, self checkout is likely your only choice. I have no idea why people would shop here when there's an Aldi, Publix, Target (with grocery), Fresh Market, and probably something else I haven't found within 5-10 minutes driving distance. This store is large and was full of shoppers. There was a sale on fall merchandise. The checkout registers were 3-4 deep of customers waiting to pay. I walked past the people to see what people were buying. Well that was hard to see right away. There are aisles stocked up to the ceiling against the walls. Christmas items were along the back wall. Now I know why I can't find Christmas items in December! Some items were marked down 70% and people were buying. There was an abundance of Halloween stuff on sale too. Clocks and pictures looked to be hugely marked down. Markdown signs were all over. A shopper's paradise is markdown and clearance signs. I have friends who shop at Hobby Lobby 2-3 times a month. I see why. The store seems to have a little bit of everything. It would be very easy to fill up a shopping cart. Ok back to what I was looking for. I did find several wood pieces I could use to elevate my Kaleidoscape. The number of wood and cork items I could have purchased were tenfold what the other store had. I got in line to pay and only had 1 person in front of me. Checkout was fast and very pleasant. I highly recommend this store. It was a pleasure walking around inside and I will return.

I walked up to one of them and asked where the spring plates were. She led me straight to them with asking about my day with the biggest smile and bubbly personality. Personally I can tell these employees love their jobs. When I checked out I didn't realize that most of my stuff was on sale. I ended up spending 62 dollars less than when I expected!! I had such a great experience and I will be coming back soon!
