The store had a garden section, lots of toys, some food, cleaning products and much more. I learned today they also have a nice selection of flower stems. Plus, Mom found a huge bag of peppermint hard candy and I found a package of bubbles for my nieces and nephews. Service is friendly but typically slow, with only one register open every time I've visited. But the prices are worth the wait. Stop in as you never know what bargains you might find.

I'm traveling and forgot my flat iron. I was pleased to find a Remington flat iron that can be used on both wet and dry hair for only $20. I purchased and tried it today. Worked great! I would highly recommend this product and for the price you can't beat it! While standing in line to purchase my items, the customer in front of me had a buggy full of toys. She told me she couldn't beat the price. That's how I found out about the sale. So I brought my parents back today so we could purchase toys for my great niece and nephews. I spent $42, and bought four toys. This is the cheapest I've ever gotten away with spending for toys. And they have brand name toys you've heard of such as Fisher Price, My Little Pony Mickey Mouse, and many more! Apparel is buy one get one 50% off this week. That includes clothes, pajamas, shoes and accessories. What you see on the shelf is all they have as we asked about a male scooter and all they had left were the female pink ones. First, I had to wait on her for a solid 10 minutes in an empty store during a heat wave. I had a lot on my mind. When she finally appeared to assist the sick cashier with a menial task, I misspoke. She was already clearly rubbed the wrong way, and that just shifted her into a different level of rude. She began ignoring my transaction-related questions, rolling her eyes and sighing, put my change on the counter, and spoke down to me. Regardless of whether or not I'm inconveniencing her, even for a second longer, should ~not~ have been evident in this "leader's" behavior. I will do all I can to avoid this conveniently located Family Dollar due to this manager's behavior. I will be be spreading the word. I want her leadership to know. You can find cleaning supplies, food & drinks, holiday items, personal care, toys, games, puzzles, books, craft supplies and housewares. I typically shop for birthday cards, wrapping paper or a gift bag. Bonus, they sell Hallmark cards. The store was organized and clean. The staff have always been friendly. And after moving to Maryland, I would meet my sister here on my way home to visit and pay for portraits for my nieces and nephew when they were younger. They always did a fabulous job! On this visit, I was looking for a Marshall t-shirt and cup. I hit the jackpot as both were on sale. I found a vintage super soft t-shirt and an awesome cup with a handle. The handle makes walking with a cup much easier! I've worn the short and it washed well. And I started using the cup as soon as I got back to my parents and cleaned it. It keeps my water cold for a long time which living in Florida, I appreciate;) I'll be back on my next visit up north. If you are looking for good quality at a reasonable price, you've found it!
