Even the parking lot was trash free, and there weren't a lot of stray carts lying around (that could either be a testament to Walmart being on top of their game, or to the people of Ft Stockton just being very courteous.. We may never know lol). The interior of the store was a LOT smaller than I have ever seen, but it had the basics. Enough to be called a supercenter, I reckon. The people were friendly, and not just the employees. It appeared to be a true small town walmart, where everyone is just plain friendly to everyone. People of Fort Stockton, although you may not realize it you have a gem in this Walmart. Trust me, I have seen MUCH worse!!

Just when you think you've visited the worst Walmart in your life in another town.... whaam! , here…read moreyou arrive at the Walmart in Pecos Texas. Of course pretty much everything in Pecos Texas is overcrowded, run-down and expensive for what they really are. Except for Walmart! You get your standard Walmart prices but you do not have an automotive department, no 24 hours and even longer lines, but you do get to dodge Isles full of inventory that need to be broken down and items put on the shelves. Also, don't let me get started on the 20 plus people deep line because like overcrowded Pecos Texas everybody is trying to pack 10 pounds of crap in a 5lb bag, Walmart is no exception. This is one place that definitely needed to be a super Walmart. I'm going to hate to give this advice to you but the Family Dollar and general dollar down the road put this Walmart to shame. Now that you might have taken this advice, please do me a favor and do not go into these dollar stores until I am done finished and left this piece of a something town. I don't want my favorite places to get overcrowded. Oh, and before I go one more important thing, the parking lot! You think you're from Houston and driving /parking cannot get any worse than those Asians in Bellaire? Yes those people, but these people put the people that Park in Walmart to shame, actually make them look like professionals or something because if you try to come in here with a nice vehicle you can pretty much be assured you will have 6 Vehicles parked around a 4 space to park a lot around you in Every Which Way but Loose. There are several tables so you don't have to eat in the car. First time I saw a made-to-order milk shake machine, like a Slushie machine. I didn't try one. Bathrooms (at least the guys' bathroom) was clean. Showers are available. Not sure of the cost as I didn't need a shower at this time. The staff was friendly and helpful. This comment has nothing to do with the showers... Careful driving around. There are a lot of professional truckers coming in and out of here.

However, since Texas is an oil producing state, I was surprised that everywhere in the area was $3.09 + / gallon. I was not able to check in here because the store did not have Circle N advertised, but only Shell Food Mart. And, a general Yelp search by gas stations did not reveal the store. It was only when I got my receipt and looked at it, and typed in Circle N, did the business show up.

Theres nothing else within walking distances, so this it and it aint bad. Gas is cheap, and the country folk a warm friendly and caring. The store is dirty, the bathrooms are putrid, the taco food prep was area looked so dirty you didn't even wanna smell the food. Even the gas pumps were filthy. It looked like someone sprayed all the pumps in diesel fuel and left them like that for years. The only reason I came to this gas station was because I accidentally passed my usual stop. Won't make that mistake again!
