Dollar general literally has everything. Gallon of milk, electronics, hygiene items, beer, toys for…read morethe dog and even toys for the spoiled rotten kids. Dirty floors and unorganized shelves in some spots, but It's an acceptable level of mess for a dollar general. I've seen way worse. It's as expected. Employees stare at you but say nothing. Last at the register did the same. Customer service truly is lacking and truly unacceptable. I'll go to the dollar general in cargo valley next time.

The management team allows employees to harass and bully other employees while on duty. After…read moremonths of ignoring the complaints, an employee was finally assaulted. Instead of the offender being fired, he was transferred to another Dollar General nearby. The managers are also offenders due to their lack of action and lack of concern for the safety of their employee. In addition, these same managers called two young ladies, who were in line to pay, thieves for buying sale items that were supposed to have been removed from the shelves by the managers. Because the managers did not do their jobs, the sale items were drastically marked down even more than usual. In a room full of local residents, these very managers (two women) announced to the crowded store that the young ladies were stealing the items, even though they were in line to purchase them. They humiliated these young women in front of community members and have yet to apologize. Lastly, the manager's voices carry throughout the entire store. Freely using the F word in front of customers, including children, is unacceptable.

I am not very familiar with Dollar Tree or Dollar General type stores, not because I'm a snob. I simply prefer the .99 Cents stores instead. However, I had to buy some conditioner and more body lotion and required chips, Gatorade and some fruit to save me from the terribly over-priced restaurant located at the Hilton I was staying at. I had a little trouble finding water bottles and settled for Dasani--not my fav brand. The cheapest generic Vaseline was a huge container the TSA would never let me bring home on the plane. However the cashier was pleasant; the customers not too sketchy and I got out of there with .02 cents change back on my $10 bill. Altogether, not too bad for a quickie stop for bare necessities. 4 YELP STARS.

She said after I open the register there's nothing I can do about it. So instead I get $.80 of change in my pocket. It seems like simple math, if I give you $.20 you can give me a dollar. Why would this be a policy I asked her and she said have a good day! So just ignore my question, come on America we are better than this.
