The flyer you receive at home is detailed (which allows you to avoid spending time and gas surfing through a mountain of unwanted items). The people who run the show are bubbly, colorful and gifted with an overwhelming southern hospitality that warms your heart even on a cold winter day. I love love love FAB FINDS.

It's the people who run it now. Especially towards the back at Ray's booth. Nazi flags and a "South will Rise Again" flag? Really? I understand the importance of WW2 but having Nazi flags tied with the other one screams racism. It's 2015. The war has been over for many years. Either embrace culture or be left in the dust. Also, the guy is a jerk. He gets his prices from eBay but I don't think he understands the difference between 'Buy it Now' and completed auctions. He's very unpleasant to deal with. Bottom line, go somewhere else. A lot of people are more worried about value instead of making the experience a good one.

LOVE IT. I had no idea they carry a great selection of Made in America dog treats at better prices than Petsmart. My sister got some great deals on planter pots for her patio; great colors, designs, and prices. Off-season socks were marked down to $1. On a low shelf, Dr Bronner's castile soaps in great scents were available (popular for homemade laundry detergent ). Like Ross and Marshall's, it's a close-out store. It's clean, well-lit, spacious, great selection of medium and high end products. When you find something you like, get it, as it's not likely to be there the next day.

The store has a super cool vibe that I haven't found in any other record store even in San Antonio where I now live. Also very unique that you can have them build you a system if you desire an upgrade from a standard turntable. Record Guys helped calm my craving to dig recently…read more I hadn't been in a record shop since I left L.A. during the summer of 2022! This Abilene-based shop had two of the nicest guys - a father-son duo - working the front when I was there (11/21/2023). The dad pointed out the mural on the wall outside before I walked inside. Gave me some insight about the local artist who painted it. Inside you'll find mostly 33s, but there's more... to 45s to CDs to VHSs and tapes, posters, speakers, record players, memorabilia... Ya know, I didn't see much blues. That was the only pitfall for me. I was stoked when the dad, a former schoolteacher, mentioned the NEW Billy Idol Christmas record I snatched was really good. "He's a real crooner on this one..." And that's why I love record shops. Check out their Black Friday sale... I'm missing out some really good deals, but that's life.
