This grocery store has changed my life…read more Please understand, it's not a traditional grocery store (items are still in their shipping boxes, prices are written with sharpie, and there aren't super well defined sections) but it's incredibly cheap. I don't earn a lot and food has always been a stressor for me, so it feels amazing being able to walk around a store and pick out whatever I want and still stay under budget. Here's the types of products you can expect: Overstock - these foods may or may not be past expiration. Many of them are shelf stable or frozen. Damaged goods - items with faulty packaging or with blemishes, many have not yet hit expiration. Expired goods - no further explanation needed Staples - some staples are often stocked but they might be a little closer to standard grocery price as they're more for convenience. Home goods - pet items, toiletries, cleaning supplies, etc When I tell people about this store, they often get concerned about me getting sick, but I have never had a bad food experience with AAA Freight. If food has truly gone bad, they won't sell it. If it really concerns you, they have plenty of food that's not expired. Not only that, but they frequently carry organic or other health-oriented brands. Finally, the staff are super kind. If you need someone to open a box, hold the heavy freezer doors for a second, etc. they will do it in a heartbeat. As I've started to make this store part of my routine, they even have begun to recognize me :)

It turned out to be the perfect place for us. They deal in rustic, farmhouse style furniture, which is what we like. While they don't have an enormous selection of sofas, they had a few pretty perfect sets, and they were priced very nicely. Every week, they have a different sale running. You can follow them on Facebook to see the current sale. The stock they have all appears very sturdy and high-quality. None of this bogus particle board. They also had a large selection of rustic home decor. The store has a treasure hunt feel to it, and the staff is very welcoming and helpful. No pressure with just the right amount of interaction, and all the questions we had were answered happily. We picked out the living room set we wanted, and Fernando explained to us the financing options, he'd seen me looking at the Snap Financing pamphlet on the way in. 90 days same as cash. We were not ready to take it home with us, so we put down a payment on layaway and came back three weeks later, finished the financing paperwork in about five minutes, and they loaded up our brand new sofas.

I even brought to store attention that I had purchased expired food from their shelf. The Hispanic female manger said she was short staffed that's why it wasn't removed from the shelf and got an attitude when I requested a refund. I would just be cautious when you enter the store. I was also told by the Hispanic manger never to shop here again.

When we entered the store the woman said you have 5 minutes, we said no problem, as we are shopping we hear her say you have 4 minutes, then you have 3 minutes, 2 minutes and then she said it is 9 pm we are closed we were walking to register when she was saying this. As we were entering the check out area she started motioning us with her hand to hurry up. We then say thank you the Dollar General on Southcross is closer but we like this store better her reply was "YOu should have went there" ok I thought and then said we were in the store by 9 pm and what is it now 9:01pm and she said "You know what No I am refusing service", the cashier had already started ringing us out . She told us to leave and get out. We asked her name several times and she would not provide it, I asked her if she was the manager and she wouldn't answer but the cashier shook her head NO. We asked her name again and still would not give us her name. I have never in all my life and I am 57 years old. She was in her 20's I would say have I ever been treated like that in any store. You have lost both our business and will be passing this info on to all we know plus posting it to social media. Your company already has issues with not crediting digital coupons correctly and now employees who treat customers like garbage oh yeah Your company will be on blast first thing tomorrow morning. If we are successful and stop at least 10 people from using your store I will call it a win, We are also half tempted to picket your store warning people before they enter the service and the ripping off of coupons, I am sure the media will show. This is a really great thrift store, and I really appreciated that they also had dressing rooms…read more They also had such a good selection of different brands like Loft, Ann Taylor, aritzia, Zara, banana republic, etc. The deals they had were also great like women's tops were $5, jackets were $8, etc., and they had all the prices posted on the flyer at the entrance of the store. All the staff in the store was really on top of everything and were constantly restocking the racks and getting things organized. It was a great thrifting experience.
