It's either shop here or drive 25+ miles to one of the nearest towns (which I choose to do 99% of the time). The prices are slightly higher than average, and the food selection is mediocre at best. You have to be VERY careful when shopping, or you'll end up with expired food in your cart. They aren't too careful when re-stocking to remove old items. The freezer section for ice cream is set too low, the ice cream is soft instead of hard frozen like you'd expect. The customer service counter is usually the quickest way out of the store, especially if you're only buying an item or two. If you're visiting the area, and staying somewhere with a fridge, I'd recommend shopping somewhere in either Live Oak FL, Lake Park GA, or Valdosta GA for better price, selection and freshness. I'd give it one star if it weren't for the fact that they have a pretty decent varying daily menu for hot food inside at the deli for breakfast lunch and dinner, and the place is relatively clean.

They make a perfect snack for my kids! They eat them like chips and I feel good that they are healthy too. The shopping cart system is a pretty good idea too. I like how you put the quarter into the shopping cart and then get it back when you return the cart and clip it in. Most people return their carts too so not to many extra shopping carts out by the cars. So my car is less likely to get dinged. They also sell grass fed meat and pasture raised eggs, so that's a plus! I like to shop for healthy food and this is my go to. The cashier today was quick at ringing people up and very nice. For asking a question about my order I received the response, "You can't do the work of a first grader." Apparently asking a question results in being belittled. When I told her I needed to put in my phone number for my Publix account for she responded, "Well you need put it in then if you can figure out how." When the bagger walked out with me to the car, I asked him is she usually mean to customers and he told me he was sorry if she made me feel bad and try to not let it bother me. Their customer service is nothing short of incredible and on top of that, Publix has different BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals every week and we can never forget their deli and their fantastic subs, affectionately known as "pub subs." With the reasons that I listed above, it is easy to see why Publix has become the leading supermarket chain here in the southeast. This particular Publix has a good overall ambiance and both inside and outside is a fine representation of the Publix brand. Overall, I would definitely recommend this particular location of Publix. I will give it five stars overall.
