They have a year round canning section, hard find items like molasses, and an amazing selection of jellies. Their meat department has very affordable cuts of meats. They have a smaller selection of fruits and veggies, but they do have the basics and more options when things are in season. (They do lack of a public restroom. The plaza is older and is not getting municipal water, but usually the Dollar General a few stores down will let you use theirs or Big Dog's Deli has a public restroom.) We locals are so very happy to have a grocery store again after several years without. We are so very thankful for this lovely store that hires many local people and special orders anything that don't carry. They really are the best. I try to do most of my grocery shopping here and support our local independent business.

I was told there was not public restroom. I parked my cart and walked out taking the 400.00 I was going to spend with me. A large supermarket that takes time to shop should have a restroom so your patrons can do the most basic of human necessities so they continue shopping. Basic customer service.

That's what this place kind of reminds you of. It's small for a grocery store, that's what reminds of the grocery store of yore. You can definitely kind of run through here if you know what you want and where it is. Because of the size, this place doesn't carry everything. But you will be able to find what you need. There is nothing else around here, kind of seems like a missed opportunity. I feel like that they could put some kind of plaza to compliment the grocery store. It does seem like it is underutilized.

Trust me, the place exists. Rick and I stopped in because we were biking the nearby Great Allegheny Passage Trail. We were en route from Frostburg to Ohiopyle, where we'd be spending the night. As there isn't much in Ohiopyle and our cabin had a kitchen, we decided to pick up some steaks for dinner in addition to some food supplies. This really seems like a nice Food Lion. Unfortunately this brand spankin' new Food Lion also killed off the Shop-n-Save in downtown Meyersdale, which was--hello--very convenient to the GAP Trail. The Food Lion is just at the city limit and it's not really easy to reach via bicycle. Rick and I found that out the hard way. It's about a mile and a half off the trail, but we really don't recommend biking there.

I was excited to finally get a chance to stop in here since I had seen it numerous times and I love…read morediscount stores. I was sorely disappointed because their prices seemed to be high. A few examples of high prices: Granola Bars from Meijer were on clearance for about $1.50 (sticker was left on), they were selling it for almost $2, they were selling Arizona Ice Teas for $1.10 (.99 on the can), baby food was $.50 which is the same price as the store. I could have noted more as they usually don't take the old price off of their items. They seem to get a lot of stuff from Meijer, which is close to where I am from and cheaper. I love bargain/discount stores but this place left me leaving disappointed as I was hoping to buy a few cheap items, but instead I will wait till I have a chance to go to the Bent n Dent close to Columbus for good deals. A few other issues with this place is that they have poor marketing as the sign to the place is faded and it looks to be a garage or barn beside a house. I guess they are only advertising for the locals and hoping for word of mouth. They have Starbucks coffee for $3.50 and decent prices on Meat & Cheeses which helps balance out the lack of professional business look. I wouldn't drive out of my way for this spot as it is about 1.5 miles off the exit and poorly marked.
