So the carrabelle IGA here in town is my absolute go to for Blue Bell ice cream. I probably spend…read moreclose to a hundred bucks a week on ice cream and what not. Last night I bought a 15 dollar rotisserie chicken, and it was spoiled. I had bought it as they were closing,so I had to wait till the AM to return it. Immediate response I got was attitude, and the comment she made was she "couldnt just return EATEN FOOD like that" as if I had taken more than two tiny bites... I paid 15 dollars for this chicken. So she then begrudgingly said I could go ask the lady in the kitchen if she could make me a new one... Go and explain it to her and that the manager said I could ask her to make me a new one in exchange "Oh no, I can't do that" And I stated oh so I'm just stuck with a spoiled 15 dollar chicken you all sold me Looks me dead in the eye with a flat tone in her voice "YEP" So at that point yeah I'm a little pissed off, wasted 15 dollars and then get attitude for no reason, like im in there trying to get over on them and rip em off or something. So on my way out, in the parking lot I admit I lost my cool a bit, and turned the bag upside down and left the chicken there with them. The manager then comes out and called me a "LITTLE FAGGOT" Unfortunate that you all sell spoiled food to someone and then give them attitude like they're scumbags for trying to have you make it right.

While the store may not have the flashiest decor, its focus on quality and community makes it a reliable choice for everyday shopping needs. Overall, Piggly Wiggly provides good value and a down-to-earth shopping experience. It is a little bit dusty but it takes me back to the country so I enjoy it. They even offer a buffet breakfast and dinner where it's self serve and at certain hours I think that's great if you don't feel like cooking or going into town to grab food.

The cashiers are all pretty rude and the price integrity of their shelves downright sucks. I reckon…read morethe rudeness of pretty much all of their employees plays a part into this review. Nothing against the food, it is what it is. They have their fair share of outdated merchandise on their shelves, you get what you pay for. But this review is regarding their price integrity and attitude when you call them out on it. I live paycheck to paycheck so I have to watch my expenses. That being said, I bought an item behind the register for what I thought was $3.39. Well, it rang up $5.99 at the register. The cashier walked around and even told the manager person that it was $3.39. He looked closely at the items and decided that the item I picked up was missing its sign "I will let you have it for this price but it is actually $5.99, the sign is missing", okay....I have worked in grocery before, I do not need to be lectured about your store's shortcomings as far as signage are concerned. This problem is not my problem, and if I did this on a regular basis, I could understand the "I'm gonna let you have it just this once" part, but I am not like that, so what he said was offensive and unnecessary and the cashier rang it in as $3.99 (instead of $3.39) and acted angry at me as well, like I was supposed to know that. I refuse to shop at a store that treats me -repeatedly!- like a piece of crap. These small towns are like that, I notice. If you're not related to someone -and the gene pool in this area is pretty shallow- then you are treated like crap. This is probably the last straw for me, I work in Panama City Beach. The prices are a little higher, but when the sales are on it works out well, and the employees at these better grocery stores know how to treat their customers. Definitely not wasting my hard-earned money 'shopping local' from here on. Not worth it. And none of these snots know how to say "have a nice day" or "thank you for shopping with us". No one cares. None of the spawn from Bristol/Blountstown, anyhow. It isn't what it used to be. The times they're changing, at least in these backwoods towns. Real customer service is still out there, it's in places like Publix and Winn Dixie. The Piggly Wigglys are all pretty much rude, across the board. Avoid if possible.i
