This store has new management and a major turnaround from the mess it was. It is very neat, organized and clean. Alot of work went into that. I commend the new management was very pleasantly surprised today. Give it a new chance. Worth the visit. Great job on transformation of store. read more

I am a customer at Dollar general on sunset road in Burlington New Jersey I've had experience of a manager that is nasty and disrespectful I have been going to the store ever since it open but now they have a manager that is very disrespectful loud and nasty I asked you to put my stuff in the bag she said she didn't have to she is very nasty and I do not like it because I have spent lots of money in the store she does not respect people you go out the store call management and she stands in the store and start talking about everybody talking about me and everything and I have to send out there and listen to her what kind of manager or customer service is this she is very disrespectful she's a new manager never had a problem in the store but she is the most disrespectful person that I have ever seen most of the girls in there are very nice but I think they are scared of her which I am not I am a 75-year-old woman with lots of issues and the girls that used to work in the people that worked in there helped me but she's the most disrespectful person I've ever seen they need to check her I don't have a problem but this is the most convenient store for me she told me I told her that somebody should be recording her she says oh you're recording me I'm not serving you so all the money I'm spending this store I do not understand I did call management I'm waiting for them to get back to me I'm not going to keep renting and Raven I'm just hurt by her being so disrespectfulthis is one of the worst Dollar General stores that I know about it is constantly closed you go over there a 97° weather they're closed and it makes no sense this store used to be nice but now it is terrible it is always closed whenever they feel like closing it the excuses is getting terrible they got the nerve not to have bags and when they do they charge you for it at least Dollar Tree and Family Dollar have bags and you don't have to pay for them so I'm not understanding what's going on this store is turning to be a wreckI will start going to Family Dollar or Dollar Tree cuz is it a much better store at least they have bags you don't have to pay for which makes no sense I spend lots of money at the store I live across the street from a sodas a lot of elderly people I go over there and then people are riding my time is it open is it open that's terrible they need to do something about the store it used to be great but now it is terrible read more

This is my go to store for picking up quick home essentials however after going to this location I think I need to go somewhere else. They have the most rudest, laziest, obnoxious employees I have ever met. I have went to this store on two different dates and dealt with a rude employee. "She" always looks like she's high, wears a black stained hoodie and she always complaining loudly about working and when her shift would be over in front of everyone. One day I went in to grab some toilet paper and went to check out and she was complaining about how she was up at 5am to catch a lift to work and that she's there till 7pm because he ride only comes at that time. She also went on ranting about how she hates working on the register and how people come up and buy a ton of stuff for her to ring up! Seriously? Another time I went in with my mother and when it came to check out we went to the the typical register in front and didn't realize it wasn't open. She was dealing with a customer who gave her a $20 for a $9 order because he needed change and she couldn't do basic math. She started screaming to another employee 20-9 is what?!?? When I asked if the counter was open "she" again rudely gave a dirty look and was like "Nooo". I finally walked over to check out and place items to get ringed up and here she goes again on her rant about how she hates working and has to get all the warehouse stuff unpacked. She then proceeds to ignore me for a minute and than she gets a customer call which she stops to pick up instead of ring me up. The woman on the phone asked her a question and she hung up the phone on them. She then went on to loudly say the lady on the phone is an ass and playing games on the phone. The woman called back and she stopped ringing me up for the 2nd time to answer. She went on to scream at the lady and hung up. She goes into rant again about how she hates her job and wishes customers would stop coming into the store. After 10 minutes I finally get rung up. This is unacceptable and she shouldn't be allowed to work at the register if she can't be pleasant or polite. I won't be returning to this store. Take your money somewhere else people no need to deal with a store who accepts crappy customer service. read more

Horrible management!!! Don't shop here unless you enjoy rude service or have no choice. I went here with my mother and 3 year old sister to buy diapers at around 8pm on Easter Sunday. The diapers were on sale according to a bright yellow price tag on the shelf. We went to the cash register expecting to pay the price listed. The cashier rang up the diapers and read off a price that exceeded the price on the shelf. He had no clue why the price was more expensive so he called the manger on duty to assist him. It took about 10 minutes for the manager to appear out of the back room after the cashier looked for him all around the store and called for him on the walkie-talkie. Turns out the sale on the diapers ended but the same price tag was still up. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience and the delay in coming to help, the manager shrugged us off. His mannerisms were extremely rude and very unexpected from a manager. Ultimately he ended up walking away without assisting us. Customer service is very bad here, consider better screening for employees or more training on customer service. I rarely write reviews so this says a lot. read more

Perfect for when you need to get grocery items for a cheap price for great quality,you can buy anything here almost. I even buy wax strips for my face only 3 dollars lots of great make up nail and hair stuff. Great selection on comfy pillows blankets and toys for kid, lots of cleaning supplies. A bunch of rolls of toilet paper for a dollar. I get my daughters pull-ups here and she is in over nights under 8 bucks I believe. Fantastic! read more

This store not only is out of stock of items most of the time (they were also practically bare shelves before the corona virus crisis) They have the most ghetto,pettiest,unprofessional and rude people who work there. From the supervisor on down to the young black female cashiers. As I entered the store,one young black female shouted out to me to leave my personal shopping cart up front. And then after I did so,then another young black female cashier stood in front of the cash register and stared me down rudely for ten seconds. I waited in line and then went up to pay for my items; I got a phone call on my phone and slid my credit card on the machine. Then I didn't hear the cashier tell me that my transaction was complete. She snapped and said"I already rang you up" I only go to this store because it's near my home. I really don't enjoy coming here to shop because of the attitude and rudeness of the employees who work here.This store need to start stocking up their shelves on a regular basis and retrain their cashiers in etiquette and how to greet their customers with respect. read more
