This is an indoor (read - air conditioned!) flea market. We bought some boiled peanuts (yum!) and…read moretwo CDs (the Chili Peppers' greatest hits!). Everything is inexpensive - and thus really hard to resist! The vendors we interacted with were very nice. There are vendors selling an enormous range of products - from cosmetics to metal detectors to antique guns. There were a couple of people selling regular flea market stuff but most vendors were only selling specialized things like jewelry or music. There is a manager you can call, if you want to be a vendor there or have questions on where it is located. He's a nice guy named Junior (his wife runs the concession stand) and his phone number is 678-787-2975. They have lots of graveled parking. Their concession stand has ice cream and drinks and snacks. I think the concession prices were pretty reasonable (50 cents for chips, I think? I can't remember).

I went to the Atlanta Bin store recently. There's free parking outside the store and the lot is…read moreshared with a few other businesses. The signs on the door indicated the price expectations for certain days of the week. The bin set up is not like a traditional thrift store, but they did have shopping carts available. I also noticed a sign that said that strollers were not allowed, so I would not recommend coming with your small infant unless you have an infant carrier to let you be hands free. While browsing I saw some new striped Target heels on a shoe rack in different sizes and a bunch of random household items in the various bins. I didn't see much plus size women's clothing or clothing in general. I am sure that the items vary based on the day and time you'd come in. However, I am not sure if I would return any time soon. I left empty handed and was a bit disappointed in the selection.

PROS: -I actually have found some really good deals in this place in decent -condition! : Washer and Dryer with dining table with three chairs (all wood) and delivery = $150.00 (although we found out later that the bottom of the washing machine leaked, but it wasnt bad at all). - The One dollar grocery store have some really good deals on some good items such as dollar bread and dollar darjeeling tea (that is usually quite pricey) - it is indoors, away from the elements! -there are some very interesting characters and items around CONS: -There seem to be less and less vendors so there is not much of a variety going on. -There were a couple of times that I wanted to purchase an item and they gave me a price that was way too high for the item (needless to say, i didnt buy it) -There were too many occasions that the item that I bought from the dollar grocery store like cereal or tea HAD BUGS IN THEM ... gross... - And please be careful when you buy food from the dollar grocery store, because if you dont pay attention, you will end up buying an item that has expired two years ago! I dont even know how they can legally sell those things... so there... i have good days, and bad days... i guess it is more of a hit and miss... i would say if you dont live within 15 minutes of this place, it is not worth the drive.

We first stopped at the smaller Salvage store. It had an assortment of clothing for men, women, and children, and you really need to comb through the racks to find something in your size. I wish they would organize the clothes by size, rather than by brand/style, but my time was well-spent, as I found two nice tops from brands I love (Tangerine and Loft) for $8 and $3, respectively. They also have aisles with various grocery and household items. We found an embroidered yard flag, an auto sun shade, a pair of earrings, and some Pellegrino sparkling water (3 for $1). My sister-in-law also found a cute pair of sandals for under $15. We next went to the Overstock store, located in an old Kmart just down the road. It had a larger selection of clothing, shoes, watches, jewelry, and grocery and household items, and also had sporting goods, furniture, and appliances. My brother and his wife got great deals on golf shoes, but interestingly, I only found one clothing item (a skirt) for myself. Note that the fitting rooms are closed at both stores...bummer. I visit this Deals store on occasion - usually to look for holiday decorations, candy and household…read morethings like rubber gloves. On my first visit, I came in to buy candy and ending up browsing. And during that initial visit, I appreciated how many items this store has to offer and how well it's laid out. The patrons and workers take care of this store. I don't know how long it's been open, but it doesn't have the "tired" feel of most discount stores. And it's neat. Things aren't all piled up on each other in any random area; each section is separate and where you would expect to find something it's usually there. I didn't initially think of Deals as a "dollar store" but there are a lot of things that are $1. If I had kids, I come here every other month or so, give them $10 and let them go crazy. And if I were just starting out and not sure of what I needed, I would come here to buy dinnerware, glasses, etc. The prices are comparable to (and in some cases lower than) Wal-Mart and Target, so why deal with the parking and long check out lines of a bigger store? I don't know if I would have ever gone into this store if I wasn't dealing with a "candy jones" but I'm glad I did.
