I was able to buy homemade black licorice for $3. Homemade canned strawberry rhubarb butter to spread on toast for $4-5. They also have a huge discount section and the kids loved stretching their $5 budget and got a bunch of Halloween and Christmas specific candy cheaply for no other reason than it being the wrong holiday. My husband bought some Amish sourdough bread, but was disappointed with the taste. Upon looking at the label I noted there were a lot of ingredients. Just something to note. Not all Amish foods are created equal and not all items are organic or without preservatives. Read your labels, make educated choices and admire a store of thrifty, honest, and hardworking folks.

I was with my youngest and made a purchase through the express checkout. One item was a box of chips (that was way overpriced). It was too big to put in a bag so I clicked on "skip bagging" and put it back in my cart, paid, and left. I even exchanged pleasantries with the manager/supervisor on duty. As I get to my car, a young employee comes up to me and says her manager wanted her to check and make sure I didn't walk out with two boxes. Seriously?! I kept my calm and showed the receipt and as she tried to look in my car I told her I haven't put anything in my car yet. I have NEVER given the employees there any reason to think I've stolen anything and I'm usually in there weekly. This is not the first time I have felt targeted but I tried to brush it off. Returned to the store and was told that there would be no refund since it was bought on Thursday and not prepared til Saturday. Then she added that it was cut on Monday and should have been used sooner. She told me to take it with me since they didn't have a way to get rid of it. I told her it was HER problem and walked out. I've been coming to this store Basically, my whole life. And I can say as a person with a disability and a service dog. This place is unwelcoming and unaccepting of people with disabilities and service animals. Not only does one of the bigger managers tend to watch me while I'm in the store, but show disdain for me and my service animal by continuously shaking there head at me and watching me. My service dog is a cardiac alert dog.Because I have heart problems and two heart attacks to prove it. It's unfortunate because I grow up going to the store and I personally love it. However, this store is unwelcoming, unfriendly , and biased.So I would not say that this store is disability Friendly nor service dog friendly and if you have either of these just be prepared.
