They have lots of stuff in this place, and true to their name, there is a lot of cheap stuff there. I can't really attest to the quality of much of it, but there were a few good things there. I bought a high quality computer video game there for a great price. Essentially, they share many similarities with Big Lots. They appear to get much of their inventory from "buyouts", meaning they pass savings on to the customers by getting things from stores going out of business or auctions. There's a little bit of everything in the store. They have a couple grocery aisles. Home improvement, hardware, books, garden supply, clothes, floor covering (lots of rugs, laminate) and some furniture. In the back, there's a free pot of coffee for customers. The best part of this place is its good deals. Some of the deals can be exceed the 50% off mark, which makes this place a great stop for that random thing.

She said with or without a receipt no returns. Have dealt with this manager before when they had dog food priced and it rang up higher. Excuse was it was marked wrong so we couldn't buy it!!! Never heard that before! We haven't been going as often as we use to because most items are outdated. If you find something in date its almost priced as high as a regular grocery store, and it don't expire long after. I guess they don't have a dedicated customer like we use to be. Even my parents slowed down going since his prices have gone higher and they ran into problems trying to return before too. I will make sure everyone knows about the way they treat their customers!

I went here once years ago and it was like a thrift mall, full of hundreds of unique vendors. On a…read morerecent trip through we seen 95% of the unique vendors had been forced out and now it's mostly a huge place that sells returned and expired pallet merchandise. This is not like a flea market or thrift mall anymore, so be careful when making decisions on whether or not to go there based on old pictures. That being said, there were still a small handful of vendors and yard sellers on the dozen or so tables they rent, and there were some cheap deals to be found. It seemed like the man named Ken that collects rent from vendors harasses people who won't sell him stuff to resell in his own store. I know a lot of flea market stuff is resold but it seems like someone in a position of power shouldn't be able to make you feel like you need to give them things. As a shopper I know the early bird gets the worm so if you shop here with yard sellers, at least try to get the stuff before resellers do.

I was with my three-year-old, who was absolutely mesmerized by the old toys and excitedly pointing things out as we went. He noticed an old fire truck with a detached metal ladder sitting beside it, picked it up briefly to show me, and asked if we could buy it. Before I could even respond, an older woman ran from behind the counter and forcefully ripped the metal ladder from my child's hand while loudly saying, "No, no, no." This was extremely inappropriate, aggressive, and uncalled for especially toward a small child. If my child had damaged something, I absolutely would have paid for it, which I stated immediately. But this was a loose metal piece from a toy we likely would have purchased if the situation had been handled with basic respect. This shop is not family-friendly at all. What should have been a fun, memorable family night was instantly ruined by the way we were treated. As this was my first time visiting Forest City, it left a very disappointing impression. I will not be returning, and I will be sharing this experience with others so families can be aware before visiting. I would not recommend supporting this business or spending a dime with them. I am extremely disappointed and had to explain to my child why this angry woman would do such a thing to him.
