Her staff and extended team of vendor representatives and skilled craftspeople made the process a pleasure and a fun and wonderful experience. I will cherish working with each of them as a truly memorable and important life experience which I was fortunate to have the opportunity to share with them. Her taste is impeccable, her talent is jaw dropping, and her style is so effortless, that it was the easiest thing in the world to leave every decision up to her. When she asked me to decide upon final selections, she was so helpful and informative that the selections came naturally and were completely stress-free. All ended up exquisite and appropriate choices. When I wanted to update bathrooms and a kitchen to prepare for a sale,I discussed with Anne some general ideas I had about room elements that I thought ought to be upgraded. Anne listened to all of my ideas - taking the bull by the horns on some and wisely and firmly rejecting others after thoroughly assessing some materials and other ideas I suggested. Anne transformed those rooms by seamlessly incorporating a new floor here, a new vanity there, a complete rework here, and creating an integrated, drop-dead gorgeous and accessible design through these updates so much more beautiful than I had ever come close to conceiving. Anne's room designs were unique to each room and yet each resonated harmoniously with the next so that everyone's eyes and hearts excitedly moved from here to there to see what other visual pleasures were next. As a stager, Anne astutely blended pieces on site with carefully chosen elements from her own astonishingly beautiful and unique collection to allow each room to speak clearly and elegantly about its beauty, size, and role in the overall home. Two weeks in, when the original floorplan wasn't quite right, Anne listened to the feedback we had received and reworked the plan easily and efficiently without looking back. The result was right-on and a great demonstration of her johnny-on-the-spot problem-solving approach, easy-going nature, efficiency and natural grace. Anne Symon is someone who clearly demonstrates that interior design is at the same level an art form as architecture and industrial design are - and that she plays at the level of a de Young and an iPhone. Her services are priceless and she is worth every penny.

Our project would not be typical for most designers, but Anne took it on anyway and endeavored to learn from us and from our very picky architect what the project goals were. In our case, it was a restoration of a Wyoming ranch house that would set the tone for 9 other custom homes, so getting it right was critical. She creatively found materials and furniture in San Francisco and after only one site visit, was able to pull them together to create a comfortable home for us and our guests. She even met us out there to complete all of the shopping necessary to install a brand new home with everything you might need to be comfortable or throw a large party. The best testimony is how much our Wyoming friends like to party with us at our new place. The house already had good bones, but she brought it to life. Her prices are reasonable, she's always professional and a lot of fun to be around. I heartily recommend her. Chris Allen Stillwater Development, LLC

We are so happy that we engaged Jentry McGraw as our lead design consultant on our new home…read moreconstruction! The process was straightforward. - Jenny first took the time to understand our preferences (actually, helped us learn what we liked!). For each design decision, several selection options were presented, at various price points. Once our selections were made, she really worked to make sure that the delivered items and as-built installations were executed as intended - working with our contractors (pushing and insisting!) when the result was not up to par or as designed. This was invaluable, as we were living on the opposite coast during construction! Jentry McGraw helped us with selection of every interior and exterior color and finish, with flooring, cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, lighting, tile, appliances, floor coverings and furniture. A bonus, my wife joined Jenny and one of her staff members on their annual North Carolina showroom tour, spending a couple of days seeking inspiration for the key furniture and decor pieces!

We found Jenny and her team via her online portfolio, and it was immediately clear that we hit the jackpot with her. Our project included removing a weight-bearing wall to open up the kitchen and dining room, and expanding the kitchen into the adjacent laundry room and powder room, significantly altering the layout of our downstairs. We also replaced the downstairs flooring and lighting, and converted a wood burning fireplace into a beautiful focal point with a built in gas fireplace. When we saw the value that Jenny brings to a project, we also renovated 3 bedroom closets, and replaced baseboard, trim, paint, and fixtures in the primary bedroom. Jenny and her team are beyond amazing. They organized an extensive scope of work, clarifying who was responsible for each step, whether builder, her team, or client. She followed up on every detail, handled all the vendors, and kept to the ambitious timeline. Jenny quickly got a sense of our taste, and presented beautiful design options each step of the way. We feel our final project is truly ours, reflecting us perfectly, though we never had to go to a tile store or home furnishing shop, which we had clarified was our preference. The Jentry McGraw team was on-site weekly during construction, and Jenny used her excellent people skills and rapport with our builders to settle for nothing short of excellence. This included fine attention to detail and positioning of built-in features, things that I could not envision in the building phase, but definitely would have noticed being askew or off-center in the final build. We are absolutely thrilled with our final project, and know without a doubt that we could not have accomplished it without Jenny and her team. We feel great about having invested in a designer to guide our project. We'll use Jenny and her team for any of our renovations going forward; they are absolutely awesome!

I really like Tim's work. He has a really nice, New Yorker's eye to high-end design and detail but…read morehe also finds ways to do it without each bit costing an arm and a leg. Tim helped me entirely redesign my kitchen and bath a few years ago (and ideas on a few other areas) of my San Francisco Edwardian flat. Basically, we knocked out walls, opened up spaces, moved plumbing around, built a big unique island between the kitchen and liv room (I'm clumsy in tight spaces and have a phobia about my back to guests in the kitchen), and creatively hid HVAC and other needed equipment in places in my smaller (1400 sq ft) flat. The bath was easier in that it was limited in space, but he was pretty creative about storage and design ideas to overcome the size. At the time, I already had a contractor and a structural engineer from other ongoing projects who then worked with me to put it into action, although Tim had so many tips for where and how to do it that I ended up purchasing everything based on his store advice and then had the contractor just install according to the designs. He sketched out a lot of different perspectives and angles really quickly to give different rough approaches, to see what I reacted to for likes and dislikes. Based on those, he then drafted deeper detail to show me all the measurements, piping/infrastructure, etc. He is a FONT of information on lighting, furniture, cabinet etc etc sites and manufacturers, and he has had a bit of experience renovating old houses. My files of his tips are huge. On any negative side, he definitely is a stickler for detail, although that's not necessarily a negative unless you have problems with that type of personality. I haven't worked with that many contractors who spend a lot of time on the details. That said, he was right on certain measurements, and I wasn't. I'd rather have someone thinking through all the details, even if it takes more time, than me having to do it. All I can say is that every time someone walks into my kitchen/liv room, they ooo and aww. Tons of my friends have wanted to copy the room.

Kathleen has, and I'm not exaggerating here, helped to change my life! It is remarkable how much of an impact having a home that is "well put together" - that I am very proud of - has had in giving me a great sense of achievement and confidence. I was basically starting from scratch - with little furniture and not much of an idea of what "my style" was. I showed Kathleen pictures of my apartment, described what I liked about it, what I liked about the surrounding neighborhood as well as how I lived on a day to day basis. Then we went shopping. Kathleen was great about suggesting many different things and then learning very quickly from what I liked and didn't like. She encouraged me to push my own boundaries, and I am amazed at the results! I'm an analytical person by nature, so she explained to me why she was suggesting the things she was suggesting, how they matched, flowed, contrasted or complimented other things we'd already chosen. She helped me to see that there is real science as well as art and talent behind good interior design. Kathleen was also very cost conscious. It would have been easy for her to keep me at Room and Board all day and pick out all of our items from there. However, after we got a couple of the big, anchor items for the living room there, she directed me to West Elm, Pier 1 and IKEA for many things that weren't as critical so I could really save a lot of money. I came in at about 65% of what I originally budgeted because of her suggestions to spend less on certain items. After I got moved in to my new place, Kathleen spent a morning helping me to lay everything out. It is AMAZING that just having her rearrange things in a small space made such a huge difference. By angling my living room layout, moving a chair to the other side and adding a small side table, the usability of the room has been transformed. It also makes the space feel larger and adds a great sense of style. Amazing!! I should also mention that I met Kathleen when she was referred by my realtor to stage my house in Marin. I am absolutely 100% convinced that we were able to sell the house quickly and at a premium over our asking price because of the staging that Kathleen did. I couldn't believe it was my house!
