I came back a few weeks later for a bowl of udon. The broth had good flavor, but also tasted like it was just good canned broth - nothing in it to make it unique or give it a homemade, cooked all day quality. The noodles were great, thick and slurpable. The "Mixed Meat udon" was, bizarrely, all seafood except for some really fatty pork. I found the prawns very overcooked, coarse and mealy and not even pleasant to eat. I liked that there were a lot of vegetables in the soup though, and it was a very comforting, satisfying meal.
I'd happily return again anytime for sushi or soup, but I've had much better versions of both elsewhere. This place is reliable, but nothing out-of-the-ordinary. It fulfills a craving. read more
