We sent our five year old American Eskimo for a week of Mark's training. Before Dognnpooch our dog barked out of control at every sound outside our door. He barked for a full minute whenever we'd have visitors. He would go ballistic on our neighbor and even nipped her once. While on leash he would unpredictably lunge aggressively at other dogs. Sometimes he would listen when we called him inside, but only when it felt convenient to him. After just one week with Mark he barely barks when even the UPS guy delivers packages. My Whippet/Pit mix is a sweet and responsive girl. With her desire to please me, we did great together with positive reinforcement training, however everything literally went out the door as soon as she knew she was going outside. Her prey drive is off the charts and was unmanageable on walks - to the point of being dangerous for both her and me. Before: 2 chocolate labs that would jump on you upon greeting, race through the house like a wild hurricane, lick every surface on a food hunt (they're labs = always hungry), and would literally take off running down the street never to be seen again if we let them loose out the front door. Keep in mind they didn't give a rats ass if we called their names a hundred times. We have had them lost in town on a number of occasions because they slipped away from us and couldn't find them until someone called our number after having their chip scanned. (they rip collars off each other). I had to frustratingly insist on training or I would move out. After: Here comes Captain Mark. Dogs understand and listen. They sit down and stay for long periods of time. They can now run around the entire front yard (which is large) and the entire back yard (which is an unfenced entire freedom mountain with deer) without concern of them running away. They come when called and they truly seem MUCH happier than they did before. One of them truly stays right at my leg even when I'm walking around watering the outdoor plants. It's kinda funny. Here's one I don't care to admit, but I will: I left the house for about four hours of errands. I came back to see movement at my front door, and realized I had left the dog gate open. There they were, sitting at the front door watching the world go by. I was so angry with myself for leaving the gate open but SO PROUD of the dogs and SO grateful to Mark for yes, changing our lives. I had high hopes to train my dog on my own but it wasn't long before I realized it would be a huge battle and dangerous for me to do so on my own due to our situation. We are on a large property with many chickens and goats. We got our pup to train as a Livestock Guardian dog to the chickens and goats. We've had LuLu for nearly a year now. We rescued her to be a playmate for a Dog named Puka that we've had for about 16 months now. When we first adopted her, she was perfect on walks and going places, but one day we got attacked on a walk by a Pitbull that belonged to homeless man. After that, every time a strange dog was approaching or dogs barking in front yards and backyards as we passed by, would set LuLu off as she would go into a very defensive mode. As Mark called it, she turned into a Tasmanian Devil. Pulled me down on the ground several times, as she is very very strong. We tried the Petco training courses (knew all of the commands ect.), we tried a Dog Behaviorist ($1000.00) and there was little or no change. I was already looking at E-Collars and was giving consideration regarding that, as I thought she would never settle down and be the Pup I needed her to be. Then a friend sent me a "Mark Video" of his 2 pups that were being trained by Mark and saw the results. So, gave Mark a call and discussed our LuLu's issues. He thought he could help us with that. So took her to Mark for a weeks worth of training. Daily, Mark would send us four or five videos of LuLu's progress, which I found helpful and one could see that there was improvement each time. Not to mention that LuLu loved Mark...she seemed to be very happy and responded to him well. So, picked our LuLu up this passed Monday. She and I were so glad to see one another. After she calmed down a bit, Mark took LuLu and I out for some training...no, he didn't make me wear the E Collar...LOL! I trained with Mark about 90 minutes or so so he could make sure I knew what to do, when to do it, and how much to do it. Well we've been home now for 3 days. LuLu and I walk four times a day, to keep reinforcing the training Mark had given. She is now a such a pleasure to walk and take around with me. Do I ever have to correct her? Of course, but by walking her multiple times a day and correcting her when warranted, which is not too often, our walks are no a real pleasure to do. Mark saved us from being a prisoner with LuLu. I really love our Pup and was starting to become frustrated. Mark is a great trainer and one can tell he loves the Dogs and the Dogs Love Mark and respond well to him. My dog, Cody stayed with Mark for a week for training. I'm honestly still blown away by Cody's amazing transformation. We adopted Cody last summer and right away I took him to basic obedience class and he did OK but he needed more, something different. One of the best decisions we made for our dog! We had a 1 year old pit bull who was very high strung and overly energetic. I was pregnant with our first child so i wanted to teach the dog some manners before the baby arrived. We purchased the sessions where mark comes to your house. the first day we learned how to "heal" while walking, and zoey did great! After that we learned how to effectively use the E-collar to teach our dog to "place" and "leave it" and "come" i was very surprised with how responsive zoey was. Dogs want to learn!
