    Same injury on all 4

I wrestled with writing this review as I like to support small businesses whenever I can but I was a paying customer and this involves my amazing four legged child. I contacted Doggy Deuce because I was leaving the country. Chris (owner) came over to my home and asked me questions to which I also asked if I would be getting updates on my dog while I would be away as that was important to me and I was told yes and that all I would have to do is text them. While out of the country I never heard from them nor received any response when I text them for an update. That made me extremely uncomfortable on my trip. When my dog came back home he was extremely lethargic to which I assumed that maybe he was just tired from being at their establishment. I then proceeded to inspect his body. I checked his ears, mouth and then I got to his legs. There were injuries on ALL 4 legs (see photos). I STILL gave this place the benefit of the doubt. I contacted them immediately. This was on a Monday. After following up several times I finally got a call back from Chris on a Friday. He explained that they were extremely understaffed and couldn't get back to me with updates while I was away. I wish that was communicated to me when he came to my home a couple days before my trip so I could've made other arrangements. When it came to explaining my dogs injuries he stated that he believed he did them to himself by chewing. This is not my dogs first time in daycare. He has never chewed on his body. I honestly would've appreciated a simple "i don't know" or "I'm not sure" but the explanation I was given was just unacceptable. I was then charged an additional $60 without my consent as they have a grooming section to which they groomed my dog and when asked about it I was told that my dogs nails were kind of long and he thought it would be a good idea. Boarding a pet is already expensive and I believe I was taken advantage of by grooming my dog who was just groomed a few weeks before for thanksgiving. The only additional fees I agreed to was that in an event my dog needed any medical attention not grooming wise. As a pet owner, my dog is treated like my child. If this had happened to my birth child in daycare I would've been just as upset to see injuries and not have an explanation as to what happened. Overall, I would not use this business again.

K9 Boot Camp - Emily Adams teaching dog ownership

Please save yourself the trouble and stay away from this place…read more I wanted to give this place a 5-star review however after paying for more than $1750 and a few months of onboarded training, as well as a few months of in-home follow-up visits, my dog was still not trained. I tried to schedule additional home visits with the trainer but first, he had excuses to not come over and after a few more times he stopped replying to my messages.

PLEASE STAY AWAY. From their CEO and Director, Emily Adams all the way down to the helpers, they…read moreare extremely unprofessional. My interaction was with Emily Adams herself. I scheduled an evaluation on Monday, December 6th, 2021 for Wednesday, December 8th, 2021 at 4:00 pm. I did this through their website on their automated calendar system. The slot for 4:00 pm was available. I received two automated emails that my appointment was confirmed. My husband and I took off of work. On December 8th, 2021 we arrived with our doggy. The worker came out and explained that our session was canceled by Emily because she had a dinner party to go to. The worker explained only Emily could do the evaluation, and we would have to come back another day. She stated Emily would reach out to me on how to move forward. On December 9th, 2021 Emily did reach out to us and this is when I began to become suspicious. Instead of Emily looking to reschedule with us, she sent us a thank you email for attending the evaluation. All of you can obviously guess the scam here. She wants to secure her $100 by claiming she delivered a service she never did. This email was not automated and from Emily as we would begin a long thread of arguments. The end game for us was to return our $100 since she was borderline committing a theft by deception. Emily claimed she was at an organizational dinner-party that happens once a year. Emily believed since she had called once that morning to cancel that was satisfactory and the fact I missed the call was my problem. It was less than 8 hours notice. Emily also claimed since I was complaining about not receiving the service she didn't want to work with my kind. It's pretty obvious Emily intended on stealing our $100. If she is the CEO and founder, she knew her holiday dinner-party was already scheduled and that she wouldn't be available for our appointment. She made no attempts to genuinely reach me after two days of the service being scheduled. And after just one email she stated she wouldn't evaluate my dog. Also, she explained when I stated I would seek a chargeback, that she has plenty of experiences with these situations and that it would be very hard to get my money back and "good luck." Continuing with the deceiving trend, her website states she is BBB certified but if you check this website she clearly is not. Emily is a liar all in all and doggy owners: BEWARE!!!!! Do not bring your dog there. Now that I'm doing more research it's a horror. Many reviews claim their dogs were traumatized or became sick while being in her custody. I know the claim there is three sides to a story. I have attached screenshots of the conversation so you all can be the judge.

Infinite out of 10 -- Ben is the Dog Whisperer with an MBA, ph.D, M.D, heck even a J.D all in one…read more We just finished our first session with Ben, and I'm already looking forward to the next one. He personally invited us to be able to go to his backyard where he trains all his Champion level of dogs. Honestly, if Yelp allowed me to bribe people into reading this with dog treats, I would. But since they don't, here's my attempt at the next best thing: a very honest, slightly over-dramatic, and absolutely heartfelt review about why you need to call Ben. Because let's face it -- dogs are not just pets. They're family. They fill your life with joy, cuddles, chaos, and occasionally the type of stress that makes you wonder if you should start a side hustle just to cover the cost of chewable furniture replacements. Our Story I grew up with a Rat Terrier for 9 years (basically a furry rocket with opinions) before he went to Heaven. My wife grew up with a Labrador who lived to 12 before also crossing over. So when we adopted our mixed-breed Labrador, Chestnut, at about 5 months old, there was both a big hole in our hearts and a lot of nerves. Here's the twist: Chestnut's first home meant well, but with kids and chaos, she wasn't trained properly. Crating was used as punishment, schedules were nonexistent, and walking her was basically "good luck and Godspeed." Enter my realization: asking for professional help isn't weakness -- it's investing in your family member's happiness (and your sanity). So I went hunting for help, and Yelp led me to Ben at Canine Concierge. Thank goodness it did. Initial Consult: The McKinsey of Dog Training Ben is basically the management consultant of the dog training world -- he asks all the right questions, digs into context, and gives you that "wow, he gets it" feeling within minutes. What stood out? He didn't pressure us into booking. He listened, understood where my wife and I were, and his love for dogs (he owns a Champion pure-bred Labrador himself) radiated through everything he said. Professional? Check. Empathetic? Double check. Convinced? Sold. Pricing Compared to the big chains (looking at you, PetSmart ), Ben's pricing is a breath of fresh air. Affordable, transparent, and -- as you'll see in the next section -- worth every single penny. The Session Ben personally came to our home (already a win). He started by meeting Chestnut outside, letting her warm up naturally, instead of charging in like some trainers who start barking commands at you before even greeting your dog. We then walked Chestnut back as we normally would so Ben could see her behavior in real time. It felt less like a "training bootcamp" and more like a science-backed strategy session. The man is part professor, part dog whisperer, and part stand-up comedian -- I was engaged the entire time. Training & Education Here's where Ben shines. He doesn't just tell you what to do; he teaches you the why. Using metaphors, anecdotes, and even little history lessons, he explained Labrador psychology in a way that made me feel like I was back in school -- only this time, I actually wanted to take notes. Chestnut learned to see her crate as a safe space, not a punishment zone. We tackled leash pulling, especially in distraction-heavy environments. And the best part? Ben never pushed a "my way or the highway" approach. If something didn't align with our family, he adapted. That respect for personalization is rare and invaluable. Above & Beyond The cherry on top: after leavin- Ben actually turned his car around to drop off a Butter Collar for Chestnut to help with pulling. Who does that?! That's not just customer service -- that's passion and care in action. WOW!!!!!!! Final Verdict Look, I could keep writing, but I'd risk giving away Ben's trade secrets. What I will say is this: if you want the best for your dog (and you should), Ben and Canine Concierge are the only call you need to make. This wasn't just training -- it was an investment in Chestnut's happiness, our peace of mind, and our family dynamic. Infinite out of 10. Highly recommend. And seriously, this man needs way more reviews.
