Does not look like the fancy commercial places but my Bichon-Poo was scared when returning to be groomed at (big brand name), while here he is happy to return and happy when I pick him up. Also, afterwards there have never been any of those "they missed this or missed that". Good price. Excellent grooming. This is my first year taking him there. read more

On Friday, 12/18/2013, we were on vacation in New Port Richey when we suddenly needed to have our dog groomed. It was warmer than we had anticipated and he was miserable outside. So I tried calling some other dog groomers but unfortunately none could fit me in that day. When I called Dog Patch Dog Grooming, Loni answered and was able to fit me in. I was nervous because my dog had never been groomed by anyone other than my wife and I and I wasn't sure how he would react. I dropped him off. I received a call about two hours later letting me know he was ready. I went to pick him up immediately. When he came out he was cuter than I have ever seen him. Loni did an amazing job. Not only was his hair cut, so were his nails, and he had been bathed. The only thing that could have been better was if he had a cute bandana. Oh wait, he had one of those too! He is still wearing it. Loni and company did such a great job that I wish I had taken my other dog too. Her hair wasn't as long so it wasn't necessary but man, they did such a great job I wish I had my other dog groomed too. If we are back in the New Port Richey area with our dogs, I will certainly have them groomed there if possible. read more

I don't know how this place has gotten 5 star reviews. I used them last year and the place looked very dirty and sketchy. The cages that they kept them in afterwards were dirty, reminded me a little of the ones you see in rescue videos. I had also asked for my long haired Chihuahua to get a hair cut for the summer, but they only trimmed his ears. He honestly didn't even look like he had been groomed at all. read more

This place is wonderful, The owner Lonnie is such a sweetheart and is great with my Girls Bindi and Sophie they look and smell amazing after a trip there. I highly recommend this place. read more

I have been taking my dogs here for 3 years they are so wonderful with my dogs. I had two dogs and they both went and then we got a third dog and take them all. We lost our one dog to old age and they are so kind to my animals they both always smell fantastic and nails are great. They always tell me concerns like ears maybe extra yucky or my dogs are pugs and there folds get dirty they tell me all of that as well. My oldest dog hates her nails done but Lonnie has gotten her to be calm and relaxed and is actually being a good girl now. Amazing groomer. They are all so nice and make you feel so comfortable leaving my dogs with them. read more

I have a dog groomer in the family and still use Lonnie at the Dogpatch. She is very fair with her prices and does an excellent job and making my three dogs look beautiful. She is such a caring individual and her assistant is fabulous as well. I hope that you can try her sometime I know that you'll be totally satisfied. I have been going to Lonnie for more than 13 years, on a regular basis. She has loved and groomed at least three different dogs for me, down through the years. My dogs love her as much as I do! She is so kind, so caring, and my dogs come home "boooootiful" and relaxed, not traumatized. I get so many compliments on the dogs' appearances, but she also alerts me to any changes in the dog's body or health. She has come to the car and took my dog inside, and brought her back out to the car when I went to pick her up, when my shoulder was broken. She is the best I've ever found! If I had ten stars I'd give them all to her! read more

Wish I could give them NO stars! I left my female white Maltese, who had been bathed and brushed out but hadn't been "groomed" for 6 months. Lonnie told me it would cost $50.00. 5 1/2 hrs later, they finished! went to pick her up and was SHOCKED at what she read more

We have used many groomers over the yrs. this place was very sketchy. They kept the dogs for the entire day and then when we went to pick them up they said they were not ready and locked the door! That just seemed strange, they did a terrible job grooming to boot. I would never recommend this place. Our one dog who loved baths won't go near the tub now! Looking for another place. read more

This place is great. I've been using Dog Patch for over a year and I can only say good things about Lonnie and the girls. They are wonderful with my old dog. They are also great with my other dog that's very skittish about getting a bath. They are gentle and patient. I couldn't take my girls anywhere else. read more

Since moving to the area, I was lucky to find the Dog Patch. They always do such a great job on my 2 cocker spaniels. She always takes the time to listen to what I want, and is so good with my 2 cockers. I would definitely recommend. read more
