I get that the owner must prefer animals-- but since animals aren't going to walk in on their own, human skills are also needed. Those are not skills this owner possesses. Her organizational skills are lacking also. When I spoke to her assistant to schedule the first time, I asked for a fax number to send the boys vaccinations, and after taking the time to do that, this woman had no idea how to access her faxes for some reason, and I had to bother my vet's office again. I took my two teacup Pomeranians here ONE time. One of my poms had a pretty, full coat when he went in, and when he came out, half of it was gone. I specifically asked that he not be trimmed too much. My husband thought we should give the groomer another chance. When I came for a second time, and asked her not to cut it short like last time, she argued with me, swearing she didn't cut it short. Now maybe she defines "short" as shaved to the skin or something, but his hair was so much shorter, that we had to put him in a harness one size smaller. Never had that with another groomer. Not only that, but however she cut his hair, it is not growing back. She basically wrecked his coat, and is trying to blame the dog, saying he has "coat funk" (which our vet says is made up groomer jargon). Rather than blaming the dog, all this woman needed to do was to listen to me when I told her not to cut too much of my dog's hair off. Instead, she had to be right, and had to have the last word. She refused to listen, was rude, and kept repeatedly using this term "coat funk." The final straw was when she said "I didn't give your dog coat funk." No lady, you gave him the crappiest hack job of a hair cut he's ever had, and wrecked his coat. You did that. Not the dog. And I will let everyone know that this is the last place to take a dog you care about. If your dog has any kind of double coat, I advise you to go elsewhere. If you have any special instructions you want implemented, go elsewhere. If you want to be listened to, go elsewhere. You and your dog deserve better.

We opted for mobile grooming because this was during the pandemic and brick-and-mortar dog grooming places were not open. This groomer was great! She pulled into our driveway with her big truck, and she wore a mask and our dog went right to her. She is really good with dogs. It took about two hours for our dog to get a full grooming treatment (remember, our dog is super furry and hadn't been groomed for a while), but when our dog emerged from the grooming truck, he looked beautiful! His coat was literally gleaming. We were so happy. I highly recommend Wags to Whiskers for pet grooming, especially if you are looking for a convenient option (they come to you!).

I was impressed with all of the staff here on my first visit and the cost seemed to be fair and in line with veterinarians and groomers that we've used in the past (I'm not a vet pricing expert but for meds, shots, exam, heart-worm test and grooming we spent $180, grooming alone is normally $60 because he's a large dog). When it was clear that her body was struggling, I took her in for euthanasia. I didn't stay while they did it - despite raising my girls from chicks they run from me unless I have treats (not really pets) - and my blubbering would have been more stressful to her than the calm vet. They didn't judge me for not staying, and when we picked up her body to bury, they had some feathers in a jar, feet prints, and a few days later I got a card. I appreciate the extra care and thoughtfulness - she was a sweet bird and she deserved the gentle transition she got from the team.
