My father has his senior rescue dog groomed here and swears by it. He thinks they do a fantastic job and are very kind to the dog and him!

Review 1/2: 1 star because I couldn't go lower! My first review will be about the facility itself…read more I was at Buckeyes Missions and Sanctuary twice within 4 hours and the dogs were locked up in cages inside, not playing outside like the pictures lead you to believe, only 1 dog went out at a time on a leash for bathroom breaks. The whole inside smelled of pee and there was pee in their cages with the dogs. Review 2/2: 1 star because I can't go any lower! I surrendered my puppy, Mea on 9/12/25 after having her for 5 days. I gave her up while crying my eyes out. My mom and I were driving home -we live an hour away- and I changed my mind, I couldn't live without her. The reason I gave her up was because my male dog was obsessed with her, staring, and drooling, but I researched that it's because she isn't fixed, if the problem didn't go away after getting fixed, I would have moved out earlier so my moms 2 dogs and Mea and I wouldn't have any issues with each other. I called Buckeyes Mission and Sanctuary asking if we could come get her back not even 4 hours later, the surrender fee wouldn't be an issue, I just wanted my puppy back. The employee said they have to check with the owner, Connie. I also emailed Connie to explain the situation. Long story short: Connie denied me being able to adopt Mea back because I was "impatient, disrespectful, and felt entitled to have her back". I came off as impatient because it took WEEKS to try to adopt Mea. When really it was anxiety and depression over a few hour mistake messing up my chance to have Mea return with her family. Connie wanted our senior dogs to come to the sanctuary so she could see how their body language is with Mea, our dogs are anxious when riding in car-it's over an hour away- I told Connie this and she didn't care, she wouldn't make an exception even though Mea has been in our home! We offered to video chat with our dogs and Mea at our home so she could actually see the dogs in their natural environment, not at the sanctuary where their body language wouldn't be natural. I'm very upset that a 4 hour mistake cost me ever adopting Mea again as she is now on the website as 'availably on hold'. Mea was posted as available for a week before she became 'availably on hold' when our process with Connie took WEEKS. I just assumed that a dog adoption area would want the best for the dogs, yet Connie proves she doesn't care about the dog and would rather they stay in a cage than have a fast adoption process to somebody their already familiar with.

My daughter is 25 years old is crying herself to sleep because Connie denied her. When we returned to Buckeye to try to get Mea after our 4 hour surrender, we were told we had to go through the adoption process and our meet and greet would be by video then Connie told us we had to bring our 2 senior dogs an hour away which we weren't comfortable doing but we were going to. The employees and Connie aren't accommodating at all, we had a very small window for our senior dogs to drive an hour away so Connie could see their body language, even though it wouldn't be an accurate description of their body language around Mea since it is an unfamiliar environment! We even offered to video chat at our home that way it is natural and easy for the dogs. My daughter was very accommodating and did everything Connie asked but Connie decided my daughter wasn't the best fit for Mea due to lack of impatience of the adoption process when in reality it is anxiety which I explained to Connie via email but was ignored. Connie would rather Mea stay in a cage all day rather than be in a home she's been in and was happy in. My daughter and I tried to go through the adoption process but it was taking weeks, even though now Mea's availably is on hold when she was only available for a week on their website. It's evident that Connie doesn't want the best interest for Mea, but only herself and her personal preferences. My daughter asked Connie multiple times about the adoption process and the fee but never got a response. Does Connie just see the car you drive up in and make the fee up that way? The facility smelled of urine and the numerous times we were there the dogs were never outside playing, only on a short leash for bathroom breaks one at a time.

My previously happy four year old dog was fearful of any dog that she saw or heard, which was a huge issue since we walk three or four miles a day. We met privately with Val and talked about what was going on with Daisy and what we wanted for her. After that, Val gave us homework. And there was a fair amount of homework, to be sure. We stuck with it, though, and our girl is back to enjoying her walks 99.9 percent of the time. Val was there every step of the way when we had questions or needed assistance. The training involved no corrections or anything like that. Sits n Wiggles only uses positive reinforcement, which is incredibly important to us. Additionally, they offer a ton of classes! Group classes! Classes that let your dogs sniff to their hearts content! Service dog training classes! Classes to help reactive dogs work through their issues! Val and her trainers are fantastic and its reassuring to know that there's a team out there that will work with your dogs without resorting to controversial and potentially damaging methods.

If it turns out your dog is not a good "fit", even though they don't do what they say they will do in their agreement, they still keep your money. We signed up for the $1200 4 week class and we were very unsatisfied and left after 2 days. They, the expert dog trainers that supposedly care so much about your dog, seriously suggested we medicate our dog so she would be more manageable for them!! To make matters worse they refused to refund our money. We offered $300 to put this horrible experience behind us. They took our $1200 in full and kept it for only two days work. They refused my calls and would not talk to me to resolve the problem. Do not trust these people with your pet or your money!
