We did not eat here because we stupidly grabbed food at a terrible place nearby, but I wish he had saved room to try stuff. This place is like a vertical food court. There's a wine area, a coffee area, a burger counter, a tapas section, an Asian fusion section and more. You can take your food anywhere in the building. There are comfy couches and chairs all over. On the top floor, there's a patio where people are smoking. (When we visited, they had some plastic sheeting stuff blocking the open air. Not much of a view to be had anyway.)
We grabbed a couple glasses of wine and made ourselves comfortable on the couch. They sell tempranillo here - it's a wine you rarely find, but it's awesome. As is the custom in most of Europe, the wine was really cheap.
Mercado de San Agustin is a modern marvel in a very old town. Walk inside, grab a bite, drink some wine and feel like you just fast-forwarded several centuries.
