I personally never had issues here but I also never go to the hospital. I do know many have had issues here in the past. The Quality of care never seemed to be that well. I chose to stay the night with my partner and they treated me with the utmost kindness. Offering me anything I needed to keep comfortable. Made me a bed, brought me water. They even brought me coffee in the morning. We went to U of M 2 days prior to this stay, and when I say we will forever return to Henry Ford instead- I mean it. I did not come in with a racing heart and high blood pressure, so once a stroke or head tumor was ruled out, I was left for five hours, in pain, in a room by myself. In addition, the doctor attempted to treat me with a topical ointment.........for pain INSIDE THE MOUTH, INSIDE THE GUMS. I realize this is a rare disease, but someone, be it a clerk, a nurse, SOMEONE should do a little research. I still can't eat, drive, and can barely care for myself.

Incredibly, with every attempt to rejuvenate their reputation with a name change, the medical care gets worse. If you have the unhappy misfortune of being admitted, you willi get a team of doctors , not your own, who know nothing about you. The doctors I had were subcontracted out of a service in Maine. I was admitted with an infection in my toe with a red line going up my foot and onto my leg. As a diabetic this was concerning. The ER wrapped it and I spent two days on the floor with IV antibiotics. The doctor spoke no English and smiled vapidly at my questions. 3 days later, I was discharged. not once during that time did I see the doctor again and the nurses only came into change the IV bags. Never answered questions and NEVER removed the bandages to see if I was developing gangrene. I won't even mention how bad the 'care' was for my 90 year old mil. Fast forward, they 'claim' to have an endocrinology department but they don't. All visits are televisits with the DETROIT endocrinology. If you can't do televisits, you are SOL. If you need care, go elsewhere. If you just want a place to die, they will do.

I was a extremely drugged but I do remember my IV nurse Gertrude (I think) something with a "G" and my anesthesiologist Dr. Double, and my recovery nurse Tammy, being the greatest. Gertrude got my IV in with no problem and just talked to me. Dr. Double laughed with me and made me feel so relaxed. I was super nauseated after I woke up and Tammy was very patient and didn't rush me to do anything.

I accidentally put a steak knife through my thumb and knew I needed urgent, but not emergent, care. I held firm pressure on the cut and drove myself the 19 miles to IEP. From the moment I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised. Lucky for me, there was no one waiting. That NEVER happens, especially to me! But Heather checked me in and made me feel so much better about my situation. There was a sign stating that there was only one practitioner working that day, but truly, I was seen in no time, by Ainsleigh, PA extraordinaire!!! She made me feel at ease, as I had never had stitches before. Before long, I was out the door with four stitches and an updated tetanus shot, happy as a clam that I had chosen to come to IEP. If you need an Urgent Care Center, and you are are an understanding person who respects what these lovely people are trying to do for you, even if you have to wait, please give this place a try.

I am so grateful for them, especially after being told I would need to wait 2.5 hours at another Urgent Care without an appointment.
