I am kept up at night thinking about how DOCS URGENT CARE is a scam and they scammed me out of $500 dollars (after insurance covered about $1000 for a SINGLE VISIT for bronchitis). The staff were amazing, however, this place is a SCAM. I was charged 460.00 for a swab test... AND I never even got the results. I got an additional $300 dollar test charge on the same bill and I did NOT have a second test done. SCAM. I was charged $40.00 as a copay when I walked in... I don't even HAVE A COPAY, I haven't met a deductible ... where the hell did my $40.00 go, what was I charged for? I was so sick I didn't even question the COPAY. DO NOT GO HERE COMPANY IS A SCAM- staff was lovely, it's a shame. Went there with a U.T.I. but also had a lot of blood and clots in the urine sample. The Provider verified an infection and gave me a pres for antibiotics for 7 days. This was on the Tues after Labor Day. Immed began taking the stuff, it did not help , was passing more blood and a LOT of clots . Finally went to E.R. on Sunday and was admitted immediately. I was in Bpt for 7 days. I had THREE blood transfusions, a Foley catheter, a mega strong antibiotic, bags and bags and bags of hydration, a scope inserted into my bladder , and nothing by mouth for 2 days as they thought I would need to have some bleeders cauterized but I did not.I am lucky to be alive. As soon as I saw ONE clot I should have run, not walked, to Emergency, and the "provider" at docs should have told me to go. I began hearing the words "radiation cystitis" a lot. The bleeding stopped as quickly as it had started. Never again will I go to Docs. read more

Waited about a half hour, and then found out to Dr would be with me soon - virtually!!!!! Seriously??? I could have stayed home for a virtual exam. I should of read the reviews before going here. They live up to them. Impossible to get your test results. They told me to call or use the portal. The portal says I do not exist and they don't answer the phones and it says the voicemail is full. The main corporate # does not work. It says "not in service". I attempted to use the chat help but was ghosted there as well. I emailed but that was never returned either. They were also very unprofessional while waiting and having the test. No thought to disease control at all. Not an ounce of kindness. Update: After attempting to get results for over 24 hours I drove to the facility. The front desk people wear no name tags. The woman was extremely rude. She says "well if you used google, none of those numbers works". I advised her that I tried calling directly from their website. She said well they are making changes. I suggested they tell people this before they leave. She says "I don't know what to tell you, I didn't do your test". No apologies, no compassion or empathy. Never have I encountered a more unreasonable, unhelpful and disinterested staff. To get cleared for a job (during a time when jobs are precious) my son scheduled and went in for a COVID test. When he's done, he's told the printer is having "issues" and to come back to get the print out. He waits a couple of hours and calls and they say, "Come on in, its working". So he head back to Docs. When he arrives, they snap at him, "We're on lunch" and simply then ignore him...even though they TOLD him to come back. They would not listen to him try to explain and seemed to enjoy the situation. See, they have jobs and they feel pretty secure in them when a lot of us are struggling to replace work we have lost due to COVID. But they simply don't care or understand or want to understand...they want their paycheck, not to care for patients/clients. Please take your business elsewhere, don't reward Docs for substandard care and inhospitable treatment. Please remember how terrible they were to us when things were bad. What a crap place. My wife went here in July and we just got a bill for a small amount that insurance didn't cover in January. The bill comes with a note "This claim will be sent to collections if you do not contact us within two weeks". Incredibly rude language. I tried to pay them the bill for the poor service they provided, but they are a garbage clinic so their website was down and no one answered the phone. Collections will be coming for all their equipment in two weeks, when this place inevitably closes because they are so incompetent. If you care about your family's health better to take them to a real doctor since they also can't get prescriptions correct. read more

Absolutely terrible. Scheduled an appointment at 9:30. Forgot a mask at home and asked for one when I got there. One of the nurses was great, the other was beyond rude. Told me they had no masks. I asked what I should do as I had an appointment. I could go get one but would I miss my scheduled time slot? The rude staff then cut me off and told me they had no providers there. I asked who would be seeing me then to which she, again, snapped back that I was going to have to wait anyways because there are 3 people in front of me. I asked to to confirm that even with an appointment at 9:30 there was a wait? She responded "we are still an urgent care so yea". I said never mind and walked out. I have never had a good experience there. I try every few months to give them another shot and it backfires. Go down the street to PhysicianOne instead. read more

I do not recommend this place. First of all, when you try to call they rarely ever pick up the phone. Second, I went for a rapid covid test, which was pretty easily scheduled online and I got in and out quickly. The problem came 6 months later when I got a bill for $315 for that covid test. My insurance paid $175, but they were still asking for $135 from me. On the bill was $190 charge for an "office visit" when I never even saw a doctor or had any vitals taken. I called and was told "thats the way they bill for covid tests, there is nothing they can do". I hung up and got my facts straight about the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, and learned how all testing is 100% free for everyone. I then called back and told them by law they cannot charge me for this test. Suddenly, they were able to remove the cost from my bill. Weird how that works. Screw this place. read more

My husband made an appointment but still had to wait about 2 hrs to be seen because they stated they take walk ins also so it's on a first come first serve basis! The staff were unprofessional, not helpful and inexperienced. They confirmed the pharmacy he wanted to use but ended up putting another pharmacy down in his chart so the medications he needed were never received by our pharmacy! I called the office several times and finally got the office to put in the right pharmacy but by the time the prescriptions were sent the pharmacy was closed. So my husband had to wait another day to get antibiotics for an infection!! Worst experience and would never return to this location again. read more

Terrible. Made an appt online the office was completely empty all the nurses were huddled by the desk and after asking 2 time where I check in after 15 minutes someone finally approached us. We were put into a room that was not cleaned after the person before us who was clearly showing covid symptoms. They never asked to for the symptoms of my child even tho we weren't there for a covid test they gave it anyways without actually asking what the appt was for. I recently went to this location for a rapid Covid test. I arrived there not feeling well and realized they just went to lunch. I sat in my car, as they direct all patients to do, and was seen once they opened back from lunch. I walked in and was immediately put in a room, the test was completed (and it was not super uncomfortable), and my results were ready in 30 minutes. The staff was kind and helpful, and they were testing lots of people and doing their best to get them in and out as quickly as possible. read more

Normally I have no problem with urgent cares, however this one left me with quite a sense of dissatisfaction. 1. Slow moving nurses that seem they'd rather be anywhere else but helping you 2. They only want your money. They're beyond overpriced, even with insurance. I was tested for a UTI and it came back positive. It's why I went. They asked if I wanted to stick with the rapid test results or if I wanted it to be sent for extra testing as well. I said I'd stick with the positive rapid test result. Weeks later I get a bill from stamford hosp for $700 because that is where it was sent for further testing.. after I said NO. 3. They gave me antibiotics that I was allergic to and said they'd only change the medication if I came back in and paid another $50 co-pay. read more

Following up on my review from last week. My boyfriend got the PCR test on 1/8/21. As of 1/18 there were no results available. After numerous emails, we gave docs a call today 1/23, and the woman quickly said the results were negative upon giving first and last name. A little odd that the phone call lasted as than a minute. Sent a follow up email asking why nobody called us since the issue of not receiving test results for two weeks has been on their radar. Asked when I can expect to see lab results or documentation for the "negative test", because at this point I don't trust anybody at that office to give correct information . Unfortunately I cannot recommend this urgent care center. I made an appointment for a rapid covid test. On the plus side, my appointment was honored and I only waited 5 minutes to be tested, and the employees were quite friendly and helpful. However, the good ended there. After being tested, I was told a doctor would call me soon with results. The results are supposed to take less than an hour, but three hours later I still had no results. I tried to call the clinic five different times but no one ever answered and all calls were directed to a full voicemail box. Finally I drove back to the clinic only to see the lights dimmed and a "temporarily closed" sign on the locked door, which was pretty scary considering the place was supposed to be open for a few more hours. There were still some employees inside so I knocked on the window and asked them through the glass what was going on. They replied that even though they were closed, the doctor was still working and I'd get my results by the end of the night. They also said something about someone getting sick which is why they had to close early (which is somewhat terrifying when there is a pandemic going on and you have just been tested in the building). I did finally get my results over the phone about 6 hours after being tested, but I received no email or hard copy results which I need in order to return to work. I tried calling the next day but again no one ever answered the phone so I basically wasted my money on this test. My fiance also was tested the same day and paid $200 out of pocket and never received any phone call or results at all! So while the employees are great, it seems this place is completely mismanaged and unprofessional and there is literally ZERO communication. I understand things happen and there is a global pandemic but all I ask is to be told clearly if results are delayed and to be able to possibly reach someone over the phone if I have questions. They also did not sanitize anything in the testing room between patients which was quite unnerving. I would definitely AVOID coming here for anything, especially rapid covid testing. read more

I have visited to Orange, CT location and the dr. at this location does not accept my insurance because he is waiting for his dr. license and therefo I have to visit the Stratford location, before I visited there I had called them but they didn't told me that they don't have dr. on-site for the patient, and the nurse is lerners, and she had asked me to have virtual meetings with dr. so I did it but I'm still waiting for dr. reply for my test results since more than 24hrs now, please try to avoid Docs urgent care , because they don't know what is an urgent means. read more

I went in and there was no doctor present. Waited over a half an hour for a telehealth doctor who didn't listen to anything that I said. I specifically requested a test and was assured that it would be run. I spent close to an hour waiting for my blood draw because they couldn't figure out what they were doing and had to call the lab. They ended up canceling the test and not even calling me to follow up. I do not recommend wasting your time here. read more

BEWARE of this place unless you like getting taking for a ride. I went there not knowing if I have a cold or possibly the flu. After waiting for a while (no people in the waiting area) I had a doctor walk in to see me. After less than 5 minutes she told me it's not the flu and all I need is some over the counter medicine. She then strongly advised that I should get a bacteria culture test. I assumed this is standard procedure and agreed for them to proceed. Couple weeks later I get a bill from "Stamford Health" stating that I owe them money. Turns out this is where the lab is located and this is where they performed the bacteria culture test. Being that this is an outside company and not considered a part of the emergency visit insurance will not pay for it. This would be perfectly acceptable if the clinic had advised me that I may encounter additional cost for this. NOBODY mentioned anything while I was there for the visit. Basically I feel like I got upsold and taken advantage of. When you call this place to see what happened they keep telling you that they are not the one charging you but the actual lab... Well it's the lab you guys have a contract with so at the end of the day it comes back to DOCS urgent care. Oh yeah and did I mention that I never got a call with the results? First and last time for me. Have been to walk-ins quite a few times and never had these issues. read more

Wish there was a way to score them minus five stars. My husband visited them with an terrible earache and the only thing they did was look in his ear and declare there was No Infection. No advice as to what could be wrong or who he should follow up with. They did give him a prescription for a very high dosage of an antibiotic ( No Infection ) . I had to go in for a UTI and was pleasantly surprised ,they do a complete fluid check right there, no need to go to Quest diagnostics. Also, When the nurse drew my blood I felt nothing! By far THE BEST experience yet. Incredible skill to be able to do a blood draw like that. Side Note,The doctor was very thorough ,also very pleasant and understanding even though I wasn't in the best of moods. Going there was a good move. read more

Have no idea how this place has more then one star. If it were possible I would put zero. No one in the waiting room. PA came out to the desk and said "I need to get some business cards but that would mean I want to stay here." And yet I stayed. After about 20 mins, being the only one in the waiting room I was brought in by a nurse, I think, to a room that looked more like a storage closet. The PA came in talked to me for about three minutes and wanted me to do a chest X-ray of which they couldn't provide with nothing but telling me to get things over the counter. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Do not get covid tested here!!!!! I received a rapid test after waiting 2 hours in my car for (which I expected) I waited 30 minutes for my results (again expected). The nurse at the front handed me a paper that says covid was not detected so I leave the building. I receive a text message from solv that states " CAN YOU PLEASE COME BACK." Naturally I go back inside only for them to put me in a room and hand me a paper that says Covid was detected and they "made a mistake." I wait in this room for 20 minutes trying to figure out what happened or what is happening. The doctor comes in who did my test and had no idea that there was a mix up at the front desk. I asked if they could please swab me again to get a legitimate positive or negative. The nurse swabs me and I can tell that she did not go high enough but obviously I have no medical background so I can not tell her what to do. Mind you this would be my 5th test since corona began. I wait on those results which naturally came back negative. I said to the nurse that I would like the doctor to re do my test . She says "can I just re do your test I'm going to go up farther." I say yes and while she is doing my test she's asking me if that was better. SHE IS A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL ASKING ME IF THAT WAS OKAY! That test ended up coming back positive. They never resolved issue so I just payed the bill then they called me 3 days after I payed in full and said I didn't pay. Do not go here! I had a rapid covid test appointment this morning. I had to approach staff after they finished their personal conversations as they did not acknowledge me when I walked in, they were huddled behind the desk talking with each other. After my test, staff said I could wait in parking lot for 15-20 min or call for results. I confirmed their phone number prior to leaving as last time I received a rapid test here no one answered the phone (they gave me a different number than what is listed online). After 20 min, I called the number they provided me and the number listed online multiple times with no answer. I called other docs locations to be transferred to this location, again with no answer after being transferred. I had to drive back to the location to ask for results in person. Again, I was not acknowledged; as there was a staff member with her head down on the desk asleep. I explained I needed results as the numbers provided did not work again, staff (extremely rude) said "we didn't get any calls so maybe the phones not working" and there's "nothing they can do about that". What was suppose to be a quick, easy, 20 min process ended up taking 2 hours of my morning. I do not recommend this place to anyone!! I will never be going here again. read more

A very frustrating experience! I called in advance to see if they accepted my insurance and if they performed certain lab cultures. The response I got was yes to both. So I show up and the front desk staff member says I owe a $20 copay - which is wrong. I told her that I shouldn't owe a copay because I hit my deductible (I didn't even get into the fact that I don't have copays, I have co-insurance so offices never know up front what my out-of-pocket cost would be). Her response was that my plan was out-of-network. Remember that I called in advance to see if they were in-network and was told yes. I didn't have the energy to argue, so I just paid the $20. Then the provider wanted to test me for everything under the sun and I refused because now I'm under the impression that I have to pay for everything out-of-pocket since I was told that they were an out-of-network provider. So the DNP was annoyed with me and I was equally annoyed with her. I asked for 2 specific cultures and it turns out that they could not perform them. Remember that I called in advance to see if they could perform them and was told yes. So, the entire visit was a waste. I paid $20 for them to check my blood pressure and pulse. The DNP said she would refund my money. The same front desk staff member that I dealt with earlier said I could call the billing department to see if I could get refunded the $20 and that she wouldn't refund me. So I just walked out. Had a PCR covid test Nov. 13 and still haven't received test results. I was warned it could take up to 10 days but now it's Dec. 1st. Pretty useless since my quarantine is now over but I'd still like a confirmation! Been trying for days, but still can't get through by phone or the "text" option on their website. I understand that it's a very hectic time but other people I have talked to have had better, more efficient experiences elsewhere. My advice is find somewhere else for covid testing! read more

I went see a doctor to have my ears & sinuses checked. Before I was taken back to a room the doctor was out front telling the receptionist he had to leave in exactly 15 min and would be traveling for at least an hour and a half. I figured there was another doctor so this wasn't something I was concerned with. About 10 min later the nurse took me back, did vitals and then someone else came in to do Covid, flu a/b, and RSV test. After she swabbed my nose I asked when the doctor was coming in, she told me that the results will be back in an hour and I'll receive a call if it's positive and told me to have a nice day. I said ummmm that's great but when will the doctor be in to at least look at my ears. She said if the tests are negative he'll call in an antibiotic. I repeated that I would prefer he at least look at my ears, nose, throat, listen to my chest. She said she would tell him. When he came in a few minutes later, he didn't bother giving me his name, huffed and puffed, quickly looked in my ears, said they seem fine if your tests are negative I'll call in an antibiotic. Ok first off all, what are you calling in an antibiotic for? Secondly, why are you the rudest man in the world. Clearly he had no intentions of actually seeing me and assumed I'd be totally cool with just being tested and sent on my way. I would've been better off with the virtual visit my PCP offered but thought it was a good idea to actually get checked. Worst. Idea. Ever. Never going back to this place. read more

Went to the walk in for a strep culture a year ago. They told me it was negative and sent another away for 48 hour testing. They barely swabbed my throat. I went to my primary, knowing I had strep (I get it all the time) and sure enough it was positive. Don't know why I ignored this experience and went again, but out of convenience, and lack of appointment availability at my primary, I went for a culture. Negative rapid test. Sent away test won't be back FOR A WEEK! The lady at the front told me they don't send those things out "stat." I don't know what that means, but it's a crazy amount of time to either A. "wait and see" and leave untreated or B. be treated with antibiotics you don't need. So, I just went to my primary (she squeezed me in) and sure enough - POSITIVE. Will never return. read more

WARNING!! DO NOT ENTER!! On Saturday, my birthday and day off I went to Urgent Care because my cough had gotten worse. I was the only person in the waiting room. I paid $135 out of pocket. While I was waiting for the doctor the receptionist came in the examine room and tried to sell me some medical plan. I told her all I wanted to do is get in and get out. These inexperienced techs took my vitals; she put the BP cuff on too tight and told me I didn't have a fever even though clearly the thermometer read 100.6. The average temp for people my age (57) is 96.6 -98.6. The doctor check my ears and throat (took 5 minutes) and called in a prescriptions for an antibiotics, nasal spray and cough syrup. Not at any point did the doctor say call us if your symptoms get worse or do you ask if I needed a doctor to return to work. Since then I had to take two days off from work because I have a bronchial infection. So I called today to see if I could get a doctor's note and was told I can only get a note for the initial visit on Saturday. I told them with my most aggravated voice, I was off that day why would I have needed a note and asked to talk to the doctor. They put me on hold for over 5 minutes and came back and said, "The manager said you should of asked for a note, we can only give you one for the initial visit." The policy and lack of professionalism is due to poor communication. We are once again forced to be subjected to go to these pop health centers who do not train their people properly on how to treat others with dignity and respect. read more

My father and step mother were scheduled to be seen yesterday. A receptionist called my phone as it was the number provided when the appt was made and was extremely disgusting over the phone. She demanded to speak to my parent and when told they were unavailable at the moment she proceeded to raise her voice and have the most unprofessional attitude i have ever encountered with a medical office. She then hung up on my face while i was trying to explain that my parents needed assistance. She should not be in that role the way she interacts with patients. I will write a review on all social platforms to bring awareness of the horrible service this office has to offer. I called the office after she hung up on me and asked to speak to the manager her response was the manager is not available just like i told her my parent was unavailable which is extremely unprofessional of her.
