Three of us went for rapid antigen corona testing. I went on a Friday evening 10 minutes before they closed (oops!) and the wonderful lady at the desk told me to come at 8:30 the next morning and fill out my paperwork on line before arriving. I showed up at 9 am on Saturday, and stood in a socially distanced line to register my group by 9:20. They sent me a text with my place in line (position 15, but the number of people was more because you put one name on the waiting list. Each party had approx 2-4 people). We hung out in the car for an hour, and then received a text to come inside. I was happy that we did not have to wait in the waiting room or outside. It was clean, but still.... We were in and out in less than 15 minutes. The nurses and PA were fast, friendly, and efficient. (This is not the brain tickle test, so they only go as far and vigorously as if you were picking your nose). They answered all my questions. They helped me with one scared kid (and one brave kid). I picked up my results in less than 1 hour. The website says in big bold text: "The "appointment time" created at the end of pre-registration will not be honored due to high volume of patients." Go early!! At 10:15 am there were approx 30 people on the list after me. Hopefully this info will help another parent/person understand the process. Wishing you good luck and good health. read more

Worst place I've been to waited 2 and a half hours to be seen after my scheduled appointment 3 other patients came in after 2 of the had later appointments 1 was a walk in all them were seen by the Dr before which means they forgot about me I have diabetes they didn't check my sugar levels then they said they had sent the medication they prescribed to my pharmacy I asked if they can send it to a different pharmacy because they deliver both pharmacies never got the prescription and now I can't get anyone on the phone to help again worst place I've been to and I've been to a few Dr office I don't know how this place still functions Not to mention none of their paper is in the dispenser not in the bathroom and not in the exam rooms I waited in the exam room for over an hour while I saw the people that had later appointments leave before me read more

I went in for an interview. I sat there for over an hour. My interviewer never showed up. They have some lady show me around the facility. Then the interviewer told me to go sit in my car and do a video visit interview and then told me that they didn't wanna hire me because they was proceeding with someone else which is fine but very unprofessional to interview somebody like that. read more

I went to DOCS two days ago for what I thought might be a sinus infection after a coworker said she had a good experience here about a year ago. I made an appointment for 3:15 but got there a little early, at 3:00. I wasn't brought to a room until 3:45 and the doctor did not come into the room to see me until 4:24. The doctor was kind and was doing her best, but she saw me for less than five minutes. I never even got the test results for flu and COVID they promised would come through email within an hour. Wouldn't recommend. read more

Late last night i developed a painful ear infection. First thing this morning i went to Docs Urgent Care, right at 8am when they were to open. The door was locked, and I waited for a half hour knocking periodically, and no one came to open the door. I could see the lights were on. Another would-be patient showed up, found the door locked, and left at the same tim I did. If you really open at 8, open the freaking door too! There's a lot of room for improvement. I visited because I wasn't feeling well, but the experience was disappointing from the start. When I arrived, I went straight to the reception desk, where the two women behind the desk didn't even acknowledge me. I greeted them with a "good morning," but instead of responding warmly, one of them simply told me to have a seat and said they'd be with me shortly. I wasn't checked in, given paperwork, or asked why I was there. I ended up sitting there for 15 minutes without any updates before deciding to leave. The lack of professionalism was unacceptable. I will never go back to this office. read more

This place is a joke. It barely looks like a running office when you walk in. Just because you schedule an "appointment" online doesn't mean you will get seen anywhere near that time. I was also made to come back into the office for a follow-up just to be confused with a different patient and told your results have not come in yet. They also do not pick up their phone and the mailbox is full. I could be having a serious medical issue and would have no idea because I can't get in touch with this place to know what my test results were. Spend your time and money somewhere else. read more

Horrible scam. They charged me over $500 for a visit that lasted 5 minutes before they told us to go Greenwich Hospital. Know the price before you see anyone. read more

Place is a mess. They have you checking online from the parking lot which then indicates "we know you are here." After sitting for 30 mins I went in and they said it the system wasn't working. Got a rapid Covid test at 2:15pm and they said the results would be available online within 90 mins. As of midnight it wasn't there! Got an email notice at 9:43am the next day telling me my (negative) results were available. I got the rapid test yesterday so I could work today. Missed a day of work. read more

I went in yesterday to get a PCR to test for covid and flu, provider had left for an emergency, so I was put on a telemed call, after the call, the Dr said she would call me within 2-3 hrs with results, I never got a call. I called this morning and they said the Dr put the wrong code in so my test was never run! they can't run it until she puts it in her computer, but she won't be home until this afternoon! is this for real?! They said I could go in for another test this morning, but couldn't be sure if my insurance wouldn't. charge me again - your provider screwed up, you shouldn't charge me, so my insurance wouldn't charge me! I went in yesterday bc it was within 48hr window to get tamiflu, this afternoon will be outside that window, so even if it's the flu, the provider may not want to prescribe it! so ridiculous btw, the staff has been fine, but for a "provider" to make this kind of mistake is ridiculous and the fact that they can't just run the right test after she said she messed up is also ridiculous read more

I must say I would give them a 0 star rating if possible! I specifically made an appointment for COVID Rapid test and yesterday afternoon called to confirm said appointment- was confirmed. THEN LAST NIGHT I get a text that my appointment has been cancelled that they switched appointment systems!!!!!! NOW I NO LONGER AM ABLE TO GET AN APPOINTMENT TODAY! To say that this is maddening is an understatement. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT THEY HAVE SCREWED ME OVER firstly the way they ran in person the first round of TRYING TO GET TESTED. NOW, I understand this is a pandemic but THEY NEED TO CHANGE THE way the RUN THINGS AND THE SYSTEM AND HONOR THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY SCHEDULED the appointment!!!!!!! read more

I assume that urgent care takes walk-ins. Before I could take one step in the door I was asked how can I help you. From behind a desk that was across the room. Let me walk up to the desk and have a civilized conversation or greeting. . So just an FYI if you're walking into an urgent care it's typically because you're sick. I am pleased with the staff that I met at Docs Urgent Care Stamford and I am so grateful that we have a quality provider so close to home. I get it you go here because you are desperate and you can be seen outside of office hours but the aftercare in particular is terrible. You call and nobody ever answers the phone. Not really fit for purpose unless you are looking for something straightforward like a COVID test. read more

No stars for this "Urgent Care"!! THEY WOULDNT LET ME POST WITHOUT 1 STAR WISH I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS.. Nothing is urgent about this office! I would never recommend anyone get care here especially if it's an urgent matter ! I came in for an appointment they did not send in my prescription told me I had to come in for a follow up a week later and there was not a doctor available when I came in for my appointment so I rescheduled and still there is not doctor on site! THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO GET QUICK CARE I STILL HAVE YET TO HAVE MEDICINE SENT IN AND THE WAIT IS 2hr 45 minutes plus ! Terrible patient care and respect! The water in the bathroom sprays all over you and on the wall! There's reconstruction going on in the office ! I came with my daughter who is sick and exhausted. They took every COVID test ahead of us because that's "quick and fast," despite them coming in after them. Then the doctor came in but my daughter had gone to use the bathroom. She then proceeded to get on a call that lasted over 30 minutes. I asked if we could please get a strep/flu/COVID test while we were waiting. We've waited over an hour and 40 minutes and I need to leave to pick up my other kids from school. They seem nonplussed. Also the walls have zero soundproof and I could hear every other patient's issues while we're waiting... she's still on the phone. Couldn't take it. Told them to call me with my results. I'm driving to West Med now. read more

Was dealing with an issue and ran over to this urgent care- never been before. Walked in w/o an appt and with 3 others in the lobby I filled out a form and waited about 15 min- then was given a room and nicely talked with the nurse as she took my bp, bpm and O2 levels, while the dr was prepping to visit- about 30 min went by- and I was finally treated by a Dr whom I would definitely visit again. Diagnosed and was on my way. Helped me immensely and glad my experience was not as I had read other reviews here- bottom line: Great experience and would def visit again. read more

I had a fantastic experience here! The front desk staff was really nice and polite. I was seen very quickly. The doctor, Kristin, was beyond helpful and caring. She took the time to listen to me and rule out concerns I had. She worked with me to create a plan to get me better but she did this by telling me the options, her suggestion, and then listened to what I thought I was best for me. I felt so cared for! I'm someone that goes to the doctors maybe once a year so it meant a lot to have a positive experience. I will return to this location if anything comes up next year (haha). read more

Legitimately the most incompetent staff Ive ever come across in any field. When the front desk staff isn't being rude they try their best to completely ignore you. Highly recommend avoiding this establishment. After taking a week to get a rapid test appointment, which we all know is IMPOSSIBLE to get, they informed me that the owner was no longer accepting Cigna insurance but they would gladly take $125 for the test. This establishment is then taking your $125 and then submitting a claim to the insurance company......DOUBLE DIPPING! read more

12/23/21 went to docs for ear/nose/throat infection symptoms that had persisted for 3 weeks. Dr there insisted on flu and strep swab (I've had both previously and assured Dr that wasn't my ailment, they insisted anyway) left being told by the Dr 'I will call you' three times. 12/28/21 I returned to docs having never received a call and having my 6 calls dropped before reaching a person. Strep and flu tests both negative but my symptoms persist. Denied prescription from 12/23 visit, was told they do not have a physician in the office today and I should go to another med center if I'm not feeling well. Do what you say you're going to do and don't see more people than you have staff to help. The first time I went here was great, easy to make an appointment online and they saw me quickly. The second time I made an appointment for urgent care, not covid testing, I showed up for my appointment and they told me they were only doing covid testing that day and to come back the following day. They set me up with an appointment and I left. When I came back the next day for my appointment I waited over an hour to be seen because they were mostly only taking covid tests again. There was 1 provider on site for all the urgent care patients. They need to communicate with people who have appointments if there is going to be an extended waiting period, especially to reduce the number of people in their waiting room and potential contact with people being tested for covid. read more

With a walk-in clinic it is difficult to operate as quickly as desired. DOCS urgent care in Stamford did a great job with me recently, my waiting room wait was approximately 10 minutes and my examination room wait after the MA, waiting for the doctor was only a couple minutes. The doctor was very good, I was very impressed with the questions she asked me, she figured out quickly my aliment and it's turning out her diagnosis was spot on. She also figured out that I needed to take precautions to protect my infant grandson, she was very caring that I did not spread my problem to him. I would definitely return to this clinic again if needed. - EE read more

My issue with Docs urgent care is the lack of transparency regarding Covid testing and the resulting charges that would not be covered by my insurance. How is it I'm being charged for an office visit when I was simply swabbed for a Covid test. My understanding and that of those I've communicated with including people who work in the medical field is that Covid testing should be covered 100% by insurance. . . So since docs is charging for an "office visit" that portion is not covered by insurance. It's deceptive to not communicate this to patients/ customers. My second issue is that when I called to discuss the matter the customer service rep I reaching said he couldn't help me and would need to have a manager reach out to me. When I never received a phone call days later I emailed the billing department to ask about the bill and someone reaching out to me to talk about the issue over the phone. They said they couldn't help me since everything was billed correctly. So did the agent just tell me a manager would call to end the conversation? Did he blatantly lie to me? What kind of customer service/ patient care is that? read more

If I didn't have covid before I came here, I probably got it while waiting for my test. This place has no protocol for social distancing in the waiting room. I was waiting for a test which I thought I would be seen in 5 minutes , as I came at my appointment time and there was only one person ahead. I ended up Waiting for about 20 more minutes where 6 other people came in the small 30 ft room. There was no effort on the staff to at least try and make a system where people stay outside or in their cars so as to prevent a group of potentially covid positive people from congregating inside. Felt unsafe. Get a test at the cvs across the street instead. read more

For those in need of covid testing, sharing my personal experience here to avoid DOCS on Main St. It was a horrible mess this morning, potentially aggravated by it being a Monday and threats of another surge from this weekend. If you are going to still go, be aware: 1) Their website allows you to make an appointment. They are NOT honoring appointments. There is a sign when you first walk in acknowledging that, but you only see that if you get to walk in in the first place because the waiting room is so small. 2) Show up ahead of the open time. They apparently leave a clipboard outside to allow you to sign up. At 8:30 am, the clipboard was already pages deep despite not opening until 9. (iPad was down when we were there) 3) Their technology had multiple points of malfunction today. Don't trust it. However, if your info is entered correctly, you might have the courtesy of being told to download an app that will tell you where you stand in line. They recommend coming back when you're in the top 10. Multiple people told me today they were in the top 10, even with 0 people in front of them, and had waited outside for 1.5 hours and still hadn't been called. 4) If you put your information on a paper, do not trust it will be transcribed correctly. It wasn't until my 3rd time approaching them that they acknowledged my number was wrong in their system despite having confirmed it correctly the first time. And on the 4th time, they no longer could find me in their system. 5) I felt several moments of anxiety in their waiting room when I had done my part to patiently wait to ask a question and others would just barge in. They are in need of signage on the front door stating 3 people only in the waiting room, because somehow everyone seems to lose sight of social distancing when it comes to being in an urgent care facility (mindboggling!) and everyone wants their question answered first (and nearly all could have been answered with clearer guidelines outside). COVID is a public health crisis. I sympathize that they were totally overwhelmed today and I really feel for the receptionists, but when I asked -- after our SIX HOUR wait (because multiple times I was told it was just a few more people ahead of us) and receipt of the test -- how I could help, e.g., could i volunteer time or services, I was told it's been horrible like this for weeks, management hasn't been listening and that I could try to make recommendations but to basically deal with it. If the whole team could take 10 mins there to see if their user experience matches the talk track they've been given, I think they'd quickly find a number of points of failure that could be easily fixed. FWIW, once we got in to the exam room, the process couldn't have been easier. And I've had great experience with DOCS in the city. But the front-end was such a mess of a experience here in Stamford, I will do our best to never visit there again. read more

This below is what website said (appointment required) so I pre-registered and given a time 2 days later as well as a confirmation email. When I arrived was told they didn't take appointments and to come back in an hour to see of they had test left- They also did not offer drive through as stated. I left a message to speak with manager who did call me back said it should be clear that my "visit confirmation" for which I received an email with a stated time was not really an appointment and that they don't take appointments and are not expected to know how many tests they may still have available because they are doing hundreds a day Its hard to believe that after several months that this is still how an urgent care center is operating with covid testing. They were polite and helpful. Easy to make an appointment and followed up with results on time.

Office staff here was awful. They had no explanation for refusing to give me the PCR test I booked days in advance. They simply said that they could change the rules at any time for who was eligible. Why didn't my multiple reminders for the appointment mention that they were only doing Rapid tests unless you had proof of a mandate in writing on school/work letterhead? The staff kept talking about when they could leave. I think they just sent patients away to leave early. read more
