I talked to the owner and he was very rude. He talked down to me because I am a woman and threatened to not fix my car right. All this was because I was questioning him about when he was going to transfer my car to the auto mechanic shop. He left my car sitting in the lot for two day while the body work had already been done. He lied to my insurance company about where my car was. Lied to me about when my car was going to be done. Just lied and lied. I ended up having my car towed to a different shop that he was not affiliated with them out of caution from his threats. I would not recommend this place at all.

Nothing major, only the crumple zone of the right corner of my bumper being crushed and the right taillight cover being busted. Since Childer's was local and seemed reliable at the time, that's where I went to have it repaired. First time I took my vehicle to be repaired it didn't take too long. Only a little bit over a week for the parts to be shipped in and installed, but as soon as I saw my car in the lot I could immediately tell the poor work done on it. The parts were aftermarket, the new taillight wasn't nearly as bright as the other and already had a ridiculous amount of moisture in it. The bumper wasn't attached correctly on either side with it bowing out. As well as being too tight and forced against the quarter panels, causing it to scrape against both parts when driving, creating a plastic rattle as if loose pieces were being thrown around inside. In addition to the quarter panels, it was also not aligned with the trunk lid and scraped into it anytime it was opened. I took my car back about 4-5 months after the original repair and they agreed to redo the bumper and claimed to use all OEM parts, I even printed out a full list explaining each part/ section that needed to be redone and why. It took roughly two weeks this time to get it done, but I was once again disappointed by the poor quality of work. All parts were supposedly OEM and the taillight was at an equal level of brightness with no moisture, but the bumper was in an even worse condition. The trim of the bumper was for some reason out of place and even angled into the wheel well, no where close to being aligned to the bumper. It was still bowing out on both sides of the car and too tight against the quarter panels, possibly even more so this time, and still scraping into the trunk lid every time it's used. On top of little change to a majority of the listed issues, I was told the letters for my car's make and trim level were on "national backorder," and wouldn't be in until "some point in May." Which I was fine with, I paid for the repairs and letters (which I have yet to receive), and was told to make a list of anything that shows up after having my car back for a bit. After about a week I called them to ask about what I had noticed and if there was any word on the letters, but I was immediately met with hostility. "Mickey," became aggressive because he was "hurt" by me stating my bumper was still not in its original state and took it as me insulting him. He repeatedly tried to hang up and even started arguing that I didn't fully pay for the 2nd repair and that he had to pay his employees out of pocket, despite me writing the check on sight and confirming with him many times the correct amount. He accepted the check as complete payment for all repairs. He ironically accuses me of this when I still got no word on the letters that I still have not received, but fully paid for. He continues to get upset and overly offended and tells me I'm no longer welcome at the body shop and can't come back before hanging up. I try calling back but I'm greeted by a woman claiming to be the owner who repeatedly yelled, "Don't ever call this number again" before hanging up. It's been a month and I haven't heard anything from them on my incomplete and terrible repair. They have stolen my money by never contacting me about the letters. Like a child, they refused to even consider talking things out. I get that not every repair is perfect and that's not what I was expecting, but I find it amusing, and mostly pitiful, when a fix as simple as a bumper and taillight replacement can't even be done right, much less handled in a professional manner. I wasted around $4,000 on these people. If you can't depend on them to know how to replace a bumper, would you trust them with anything more serious? I'd recommend finding someone who's more mature and knows what they're doing, even if it's a longer drive it'll save your money and your car. Especially when they seem more focused on dog breeding in the building than helping customers. They're just another cash grab business whose reputation is built on lies.
