The third party operator I spoke with on the phone, who initially set up my appointment for what was supposed to be the same day and she confirmed twice that it was, booked me for 2 weeks after the date I had intended to receive my renewal. So I found out that I had to renew from the dispensary instead of finding out from my previous MD. So I found DocMJ online and saw that they were conveniently located next to my fave dispensary, Trulieve. I also discovered that DocMJ does payment plans for the fees which I am so thankful for because gas and food is high enough! BEWARE OF DOC MJ's anywhere: My story: I booked and realized I had a different appointment elsewhere in the same hour so I immediately call and cancel: No go they said and charged me anyway! I cancelled in the same minute and the they said we are keeping your money! Then the new appointment I had made before I found out they were charging me 50.00 in addition to the 169 again this equals $220,00 for 6 months. I call them and ask why? They cancel my new appointment. I never cancelled this appointment. The man I spoke to today was horrific, and I will tell all social media and the BBB. And many more outlets. This man was the worst employee I ever heard. I booked for 10/15/19 when all in the same minute I canceled that within the same minute. I called I texted and tried everything. Refund m in full $169.00 and don't you date charge me the fraudulent $50.00 charge. Your reputation will go down due to your desperado attempts to charge people illegally. I'm writing this review because DocMJ sent me an email asking me to post. Well, they were horrible. I set up an online consult for renewal and Dr Ravi Patel was a no show. I waited online for over 30 mins. They were unable to be contacted and I would have to pay another fee of $189.00 to make another appointment. I can't reach them to resolve and their process wants more money from me. It's like the old days when the "dealer" rips you off. So for all of their supposed wonderfulness, DocMJ is just part of the system to not really help but to take money under the guise of medicine. Hopefully recreational cannabis will soon become the norm and these "physicians" can find honest work. read more

So I just Walked into the Saint Pete location because to emails and a phone call 3 weeks have gone by and no response from anyone. So I go into the location and the girl says I'll be with you in just a second and she continues to have a personal phone call for the next 15 minutes I finally asked the doctor if he could help me and he said go see her. And then I said well she's obviously on a personal phone . His reply to me was well we are at lunch. I'm sorry there's an open sign on the door and there are no hours is say that you're taking lunch and she could have told me that and I would have understood instead of sitting there listening to her personal phone call that I really don't have time for. They don't forget to take your money every month but you can't get anyone to answer you that's for sure. read more

I will update the review once I visit with the doctor, but the answering service needs new employees. They were very rude and she would not listen to me when I spoke. She would ask a question and then when I started to answer I could hear her speaking over me. After I would answer she would ask the same question a second time because she never listened in the first place. Super happy with all service barring their voicemail answering service. Dr. Szabo took the time to understand my current condition, which there is no cure for at this time, as well as gave me a few new options to help me sleep through the night and relive pain more during the day. Been coming here for a few months. First I was told that I would not have to make a new appointment when flower was approved. The Dr said I could just come in and sign the paper because my appointment was 2 days before it was approved. When I came back they weren't even there. The sign on the door said they were at lunch and would return at 1. It was 11:45am. Knocked on the door, no answer. When I finally caught her there she said "oh well you should have knocked" In the end they still charged me $25 to sign a piece of paper despite being told that i would not have to pay for another visit. So I let that slide. Then they screwed up my records and that prevented me from getting meds on that occasion. Now, they've done it again. The Doctor apparently does not review his work. Don't get me wrong, he's an awesome guy. Really young and cool. Seems like a good dude. Just not very thorough when it comes to preparing paperwork. So now another mistake in my records has prevented me for the 3rd time of receiving prompt service and or meds. 3 strikes and YOU'RE OUT! We don't get to make this many mistakes at our jobs do we? Nope. So now I've been told that it could take up to 48 hrs because the Dr is the only one that can fix it. That makes sense, let the guy that messed it up be the only one able to correct the mistake. Uh huh. I would suggest finding another clinic. Don't be drawn in by it's close proximity to a dispensary. IT WILL NOT HELP YOU! I thought that it would be handy in case of something like this. Turns out it's only more frustrating because when you go into the office you're not greeted. You sign in and sit. Maybe they poke their head out but prob not. Then you sit there and listen to the office girl talk to whoever is in her office about topics having nothing to do with medical marijuana. This is the one you want! I extensively searched the doctors offering medical marijuana screenings before choosing DocMJ. I also have two close friends that have used this service (one at this location the other at the Tampa office) and both report similarly positive experiences. First off they are the cheapest, and the only option whose pricing was even transparent and clear up-front. You pay $169 for the first visit, then you have to pay the state an additional $77 to get your card. You'll have to pay again in six-months for another appt, not sure if that's another $169 or it might be cheaper I am not sure on that figure, but that is a state requirement that you will face with all providers and you can transfer to a different one if you so desire, I would be shocked if you did. They are also super helpful and guide you through the entire process. Alisha was great to work with and made the process a breeze. She walked me through everything I would need to do, told me what to expect, how long it would probably take, and informed me of all of my options. I walked in there feeling like I did my research and they wouldn't be able to tell me anything I didn't already know but they were the experts and gave me great info. Dr. Szabo was fantastic as well. He made sure to ask me all about my issues, how long I had dealt with them, what treatment I had used in the past, and ways that I may be able to reduce my consumption of pharmaceuticals I am currently prescribed with some of their natural substitutes. However, he was very respectful and wasn't pushy in the slightest. The only agenda I felt from him was that he wanted to help me and if you have experienced bad doctors you know how comforting that can be. He had tons of information for me about the effects of the different strains and types of medical cannabis. I was expecting someone to go through a checklist and get me out the door but this guy was all about answering my questions and building a rapport me. Both Dr. Szabo and Alisha repeated offered to help me in the future if I had any issues whatsoever. I cannot recommend this place any higher. No I don't work for them and I have zero vested interest in this place doing well other than helping others find something that was daunting for me to find when I was in the same spot. I'm so happy to have found a good place in a sea of mediocrity that I had to post, which I normally never do. Go check Reddit, they recommend DocMJ over all the others. Do your own research and read some of the horror stories people have experienced with other providers. Some of these other doctors are just looking for a cash grab. This place is legit, sensibly priced, and will get you what you are looking for without taking you to the cleaners. read more

I did call with no returned phone call in a 24 hour period, but they emailed me and issued my FULL refund.
