Had a great first visit with Dr. Szabo. Very knowledgeable and caring Doc. Glad I got the courage up to make the appointment, convenience being right in town is good too. I would definitely recommend to anyone that is curious or in need of a Med Mary doc for cancer, chronic pain, or any other state listed ailments that is allowed right now. The future is Slow. I have been a patient at the bradenton office for years and made an appointment on Monday February 26th that I had to leave work early and when I got there the office was closed. I had gotten a text message a few hours before confirming my appointment, I called from the parking lot and was told that the doctor had not come in that day. I asked for the next available appointment the next Friday and when I arrived the office was again closed. I called and they said that that appointment was at the Sarasota office which was a 45 minute drive with Friday traffic. The next appointment at the time I needed due to work was over a week out. I was out of product by then and they could/would not do anything but offer me the later appointment. I feel like they only cared about my payment with no concern about my situation. I now have to wait over a week for a refund to attempt to find another place to try to get my recommendation updated not to mention getting my medical records to a new place. This is very poor service. There are a lot of other doctors to go to so you should check other places first. read more

Had my 7-month follow-up with Dr. Ross Glider last week. For starters, DocMJ jacked up their prices by $20! (Thanks!) Dr. Glider was lame. He was curt, very unfriendly, hardly looked up from his laptop, didn't ask me how I was doing on the MMJ, had virtually no dialog at all! Maybe he was having a bad day, but he's supposed to be a professional who should have a little compassion for his patients! He was merely checking off boxes on his laptop! Didn't ask me if I had any questions. He was just going through the motions. My worst experience with DocMJ thus far. Belle, however, is delightful. read more

My first visit went well with the female Asian doctor, but I had a follow up yesterday and the doctor I saw kept referring me to use a different dispensary for answers to my questions. He acted as if he was just going through the cursory motions until he could send me on my way. Maybe these appointments are only meant to get the approval to comply with the law but for $189, I expect these doctors to have a working knowledge of the different types of cannabis so they can advise on what could work best for each patient. read more

I have known Dr Glider for three years now. While he is not a man of many words he is a caring physician that ask questions to help protect a person and cares about the health concerns and needs of his patients. I hope he continues with his profession and keeps the great work he is doing for me and many other patients across Florida. DocMJ is very good about its customer service too. They have always been responsive to my concerns and go out of their way to accomodate my appointments and questions. read more

My initial consultation with Dr Rothman was six months ago. I found him to be very patient and compassionate. He answered every question and I didn't feel rushed or like a number. My follow up today with Dr Germain was also an excellent experience. She is very warm and caring. I can't say enough good things. I was taken on time both times. Highly recommend!! read more

very easy to set up appointment. my epilepsy case worker is amazing (Dianne Walz , epilepsy foundation of south west florida) was sent forms to fill out and 3 days later at my appointment, i was approved. still waiting on the process (put into state system/ i.d card) but that part is on the State of Florida. Dr. Germain was amazing. read more

I would like to add this, make your appointment far enough in advance to allow the doctor to review your documents (I believe I gave it approximately 3 days). Ensure the paperwork you provide has your medical conditions documented in writing, you are gonna have to show proof. Be sure bring a copy of the documents with you on your visit, technology doesn't always work on our side. Providing all of the information he requests prior to your appointment will help the process. Overall this was an amazing visit. I would highly recommend Dr. Glider, he is a true professional. The entire staff made it a pleasant experience.

What they DON'T say is that this is REQUIRED, and that it must be SIGNED by your doctor. Not a PA or a NP, a medical doctor. I brought my entire medical record, printed from my provider's patient portal. It included documentation of every visit since I became a patient, listed every diagnosis with CPT codes, each med I'm taking, all the labs I've ever had, etc. There was no "signature" but isn't the purpose of the visit with the MMTCFL doctor to verify each patient's medical issues and then independently make a recommendation for a medical marijuana card? The receptionist told me multiple times "the state of Florida won't accept records without a signature". Why are they uploading another doctor's signed records for their certification? The bigger question is, why the deception? Why don't they tell people exactly what their requirements are? Instead they let you come to their office for your appointment and find out. I left without even seeing the doctor. What a colossal waste of time.

Was recommended to them by a trustworthy friend. I have a qualifying condition, so the entire experience for me was very positive. I completed all the requirements prior to attending my appointment: completion of intake, printing out medical records to take with me that fully document my condition. Even though my doctor had yet to send my medical records to Docmj (the request was made 3 days prior to my appointment and I wasn't really expecting for them to have been sent in such a short amount of time), the copies I provided were accurate and acceptable for Docmj. The checking in process before seeing Dr. Szabo was painless and brief, just basic info stuff. Dr. Szabo is a really nice guy, friendly, personable, easy to talk to and very understanding. Answered all my questions and provided me with good information. I felt very comfortable talking to him. I want all my future appointments to be with him. He's such a cool doctor. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend anyone who would benefit from having access to medical marijuana to begin the process obtaining your medical marijuana ID card through Docmj. To me and for what they do, their fee is very reasonable, and it's about the same price of my co-pay for what I pay for lab test results through my general practitioner. read more

I was able to schedule my first appointment in two days i saw Dr. Jackie Germain in Sarasota. When I arrived a few minutes early I was greeted by the nurse, she checked my vitals and reviewed my health records and supporting documents and ask me to wait for the Doctor to call me. Dr. Germain appeared a few moments later and showed me into her office, I took a seat at her desk and we discussed my health issues and she explained the program and made a recommendation for a treatment plan. Very professional Doctors and staff ! Unfortunately not covered by Medicare, but the fees are fair and I received a discount as a disabled veteran. Great first visit with Dr. Szabo. I was early to my appt and they actually had me in and out before my appt time. Dr. Szabo was very personable, and down to earth spending as much time as I needed discussing option, methods, various aspects of the medication route he had chosen for me. Everyone in the office was great (incl. the dog). From what I understand DocMJ is the most upfront, fairly priced establishment in what appears to be a sea of sharks. Highly recommended! read more

Great staff and Dr Marc Purchin was excellent. Made my appointment online and took my medical records to my 2:30pm appointment. I ended up getting my medical marijuana card approval from the state at 8:53pm. I was expecting it to take several days. Strongly recommend this office. I had a horrible experience here attempting to get my medical records. They wouldn't allow me to contact my doctor and all their phone lines kept taking me to a Filipino call center which was extremely unhelpful. I called and requested multiple times and the only thing they sent me was a receipt or some unneeded paperwork. Terrible customer service! read more
