The staff was friendly, efficient, and clearly knew what they were doing .. which feels rare enough to mention. The whole process was done before I even had time to complain about it. After many headaches with other mechanics AND another suggestion from Dad to take my car to Risinger's this time, I did. I was well taken care of. Unlike other mechanics who charged me close to $1,000 for the same work, Mark Risinger has my car running like a dream at about 1/4th of that cost. To be specific, I needed my rotors replaced --- I heard it was going to cost a fortune to have done. However, Mr. Risinger must know where to get his parts at a reasonable price. His labor cost is more than fair. His shop is located off the S 6th St extension close to the food pantry and overpass so it's a little ways out of town. I need my car right away because it's the only vehicle I have. I found out this week that by letting him know that, he could schedule the repair at a time that he could get it back to me same day. I don't pay attention to stuff like when my inspection is due, whether or not my registration sticker is on my plate or if my insurance card is the right one or not. So, as a disorganized individual, I was so grateful that he let me know about the inspection, took care of it AND the sticker on my plate. Truly now I am road worthy and have no intention of taking my car to anyone else in the future.

He truly cares about his customers, and wants to save them money where he can. I am an IUP student, and I called Risinger Auto Repairs to see if I could get power steering fluid since I needed a specific kind for my Acura TL that Walmart didn't sell. I had gotten my power steering pump replaced a few months earlier, and it was now leaking from the hose. When I got there he gave me the fluid and told me that if it continued to leak that I could bring it back and he would check it out for me. He gave me enough fluid to drive back to my apartment, and said I could pay him for it later. My car continued to leak fluid, so I set up a time to bring my car in. He was very kind, and said that if I didn't think the car would make it to the shop that he could come and bring me more fluid. The problem did end up being with the hose, and he fixed it for a very reasonable price. When my car was finished, he drove it to me since I wasn't able to get a ride to the shop that day. He even mounted my license plate since I had been too lazy to do so, and it was sitting in my back window. I would definitely recommend coming here for any repairs you may need!

A couple months ago, my boyfriend and I were in town from NYC, visiting family, and were driving on the parkway when we hit an unavoidable piece of metal debris that essentially shredded the undercarriage of our 2016 Corolla from front to back. The car was completely out of commission. We needed to be towed, looked up a couple AAA-approved garages nearby, others said it would take days to fit us in, but Fixed Right immediately said bring it in, we got you. By the very next morning, Fixed Right was working lock step with our insurance company to determine the scope of damage (over $8k - eek!) and started repairs right away. The damage was extensive but they finished it in about a week. I was beyond impressed. We could not have asked for a smoother, more efficient process to get our car back in action after such a jarring experience. The Corolla has been driving since like nothing ever happened - in fact, we're about to make the 6 hour drive back to Pittsburgh for Thanksgiving and could not be more thankful and appreciative for Fixed Right Automotive! If we lived local, they would be our go-to mechanic without question, we give them our highest recommendation!!

When the countryman died of engine failure at over 110k miles, in June I purchased another older mini cooper. This is when our relationship changed. It was burning oil at an alarming rate, smoke was coming out of the exhaust, almost always after idling for a lengthy time and sometimes upon starting the car. I had it accessed by Murrysville Auto and a part replaced with the stipulation being that might and might not resolve the issue pointing to possible engine issues. Fair enough. I was glad to have honest information to make the decision. When it still exhibited smoke from the exhaust, I immediately made another appointment to have it reaccessed. This time, instead of Cody (owner) who always had relayed the information to me in the past, his mother, Jerrie (President) gave me info stating no further repairs were needed or recommended, that it was burning oil and the solution offered was for me to simply check the oil EVERY DAY. At this point, I questioned outloud to Jerrie in person if they were trying to tell me they didn't want my business any longer. She assured me that was not the case. We then talked and, with Cody in the conversation, as well, a rebuilt engine was found with a cost of installation being 15k. I agreed, thinking a total engine replacement would fix the issues. Before I could pay, I needed to transfer funds for next business day. In the meantime, a new light came on -- the engine reduced power light. This was a new symptom and my research showed it might mean more than an engine alone. I could not, with this new info, afford to pay 15k and not have a total solution so canceled the order for the engine. Now, Murrysville Auto lets me know the seller of the engine was charging a restock fee of 1600. This restock fee was not divulged to me on my paperwork which is unlawful and non-binding in PA. To just be done with the transaction and move on, I agreed to pay 1600. But then, Cody tells me it is actually more than 1600. I stand by the 1600 relayed to me and pay that. Soooo, bottom line I stand by my intuition that Murrysville Auto wanted to sever business relations with me, though I had been a long-time loyal customer and always paid my repairs in full, on the spot, with no questions on pricing or suggested repairs until this car purchased in June, less than 3 months and less than 1500 miles ago. By having Jerrie and not Cody give me the latest non-repair advice of simply checking oil EVERY.SINGLE.DAY which is ludicrous to charging and not divulging a restock fee (first, I would never back out of a contract except I had new vital info), it seems obvious that I will not be continuing my service with them for this car or any other. I have no idea what changed to come to their final ways of doing business, but it is what it is. They are not the same trusted business that I came to trust and rely on all these years.
