This wasn't about not winning it was about the make your rules as you go. They say no earring and only white T-shirts' for the ladies but don't enforce it. They also think it is acceptable to judge your own students. The school owners stood across from the judges intimidating them until their daughter won. I am not disgruntled because we didn't win, we have won many, I want it fair no matter what age.

My son has been training at Midtown Krav Maga and Jiu Jitsu for over a year in the kids' classes…read more Josh (the owner) and all his instructors are awesome with the kids. It has really improved my son's confidence and coordination, and it's a relief to know he's able to defend himself if need be. The kids' classes are both krav maga and bjj (they have classes 4 evenings a week, with a gi two days, without a gi the other two), so they get grappling and striking experience. After his first class, my son said he enjoyed it and would like to come back. A year later, he has a 6 foot tall grappling dummy, a punching bag, mats for grappling in the living room, and he told me when he grows up he wants to own a krav/bjj gym. Wanted to ensure that I created the proper approach, so I asked about the cost to attend a few drop-in classes while in town.
