The extra problem was to find a contractor and get the work started remotely as we couldn't be there by ourselves. We got a couple recommendations from Facebook groups and decided to reach out. One company had great reviews and looked legitimate but they were booked for the following 2 weeks. We couldn't wait for this long. The second recommended company was Rooftop Tech. I was initially skeptical because they had very few reviews on Yelp and I really like to rely on Yelp when it comes to finding something trustworthy. At the same time the company came well recommended, so we decided to give it a try. They responded to my request pretty quickly and were able to send someone to estimate the costs on the same day. That was a weekend, so I was really grateful they were able to do that. The estimate came on the same evening and the numbers looked well within our budget. They offer one year warranty on their service, so I was relieved that we won't have to pay again if something happens to the part they repaired. I also liked the fact that they are licensed and insured. We were able to sign the contract the next morning and they came the day after to start the repairs. Turned out that only a small part of the roofing had to be replaced, hence the project was completed on the same day. I was pleased to receive pics of the work in progress and when it was finished, so it was almost like I was there to watch it happen. They also gave me a recommendation on a contractor who could do some quick interior painting to remediate the consequences of the leak. I'm so excited we decided to use Rooftop Tech for the roof repair. It turned out to be such a pleasant experience and the most important thing - the roof is fixed and not leaking! All in just 3 days.

The work itself was unacceptable -- the stucco finishing was so poorly done that we had to hire another company to fix and complete it. We were also explicitly told that our recently installed gutter guards would be carefully removed and saved. Instead, they were thrown out, and the company refused to take any responsibility or replace them. Now, six months after the project was completed, we are dealing with water leaks caused by a faulty roof replacement. Rather than honoring their warranty and addressing the issue, the owner continues to delay by repeatedly asking for photos and proof -- despite already sending people to inspect the problem in person. Communication throughout the process was extremely frustrating. The owner, Eugene, consistently relied on inaccurate information from his workers instead of listening to us directly, which led to constant disputes and unnecessary stress. It became clear he had no intention of being personally involved or resolving the issues. Overall, this experience has been costly, time-consuming, and incredibly disappointing. Between the broken promises, poor workmanship, and lack of follow-through, I cannot recommend this company under any circumstances. Eugene refused to own up to anything in our original contract, and after poor work, turned this entire experience into a problem that costed us another 10K.

No worries about disputes between subcontractors regarding one being delayed which causes the next to be delayed, etc. Those variables are eliminated with Full Service.
