When it started, he personally instructed his students to roll with us, which was really cool. Usually, we have to find partners for ourselves, which can be a bit awkward. Everyone was really nice. Everyone taught us something new. There were a lot of high belts. Never seen so many brown and black belts for an open mat. They were the majority. Usually, you will be lucky to find a few. The facility looks like it was renovated recently and looked very clean and nice. The bathrooms were nice with showers and lockers. They had a water filling station, which was especially awesome. Best of all, we met someone from a previous open mat that goes here. Small world! Definitely recommend if you are in the area and looking for a solid place to train.

They have summer camps, award dinners, and competitions, so they are involved in the kenpo karate community. The students range from 3yr to adults... The location is a plus too. It is surrounded by different businesses, from cafés, salons to mom and pop shops. On Wednesdays and Friday's, there is a wide array of food trucks lining the street!!!! I went in on the 9th of this month to try Pilates for the first time in a very long time. Walked into an empty studio and it was only her and I. I was a bit surprised that there were no other students there and I even told her. So basically it was a one on one session that started at 5:30pm. Alizul was very good at her job for only being there since middle of May. Took her time for me to follow her lead and instructions. The pace level was also great! They offer classes which include the following: Yoga, Pilates, Kyudo, Tai Chi, Laido (sword drawing), for adults, children, teens and seniors. When I walked in, Alizul made me sign a waiver for liability purposes and few other forms. Really enjoyed her class, technique, and style. Lee, who is the owner of this studio, has over 4 decades of experience in marshal arts. I didn't meet her personally, but later she sent me a text message apologizing for one of their instructors by the name of Keri. We were on our way out and Keri had a class coming in. We didn't take any of her time, but she was rude and unprofessional by saying "we have a class right now" I truly think she was having a senior moment or a bad day. They take all method of payments, has a gender neutral restrooms, street and private lot parking space. The class for an hour was $20.00 which was FANTASTIC!! Studio was super clean and fully equipped with all the amenities that you need for your classes. Thank you Lee, Alizul, and North Valley Aikikai. I was extremely impressed with how my son's birthday party was handled. I have 3 kids and have had lots of birthday parties. This was the easiest for me! I was able to drop off my decorations in advance so when we got there everything was done. It looked amazing! My son had 19 of his friends and they all had the best time ever. They had 3 coaches to break them into smaller groups so they could do more activities. It is private and had the entire gym to ourselves. A few kids even came up to me and said it was the best party they have ever been to in their life! They will provide pizza and drinks for the kids . I brought extra drinks and food for adults but most parents dropped off so we had plenty. There is ample parking for all your guests as well. Would definitely recommend for a kids birthday party.
