The mineral powder gives you amazing coverage and feels like you're not wearing any makeup at all. I love the skin care line and every new product they launch I feel like I can't live without. If you have never tried Root before you must try the beauty sleep serum, mineral foundation, setting silk, and pretty balm just to start. I also admire that Root products are organic, natural, vegan friendly, gluten free and made in the USA!

With all natural ingredients, you can feel safe using all the products and even letting your little ones play "dress up". Not sure which ones to buy? Almost everything comes in a sample size! And by sample, I mean a generous amount that lasts far more than one use usually. Some of my favorites are the liquid foundation (it NEVER leaves that horrible "makeup circle" around your jaw line), the face wash, moisturizers and under eye cream. I've recently tried the hair products and love those too! This line is everything you would want in a brand, and it will keep you coming back for more and different things. I've gotten attitude from one employee when I simply asked for her to help me find a product I'd seen at another Sephora. This site didn't carry it, so I was met with defensiveness. The main issue I've noticed is rude employees. Most of the staff seem nice and helpful, but interestingly I've been treated poorly 8 out of the 10 times I've been to this store (this is why I thought I'd finally leave a review). Before my birthday month an employee informed me I could receive my birthday gift anytime of the year. I went to get my birthday gift and was told it was too late. I explained what another staff had told me and was basically told too bad. Typically with customer service, and something so minkr, you just give the customer the benefit so they keep coming back. Nope. Not with this employee. After all the weird service I've gotten here I doubt I'll shop here. I'll go to Des Moines or online. I only give it 1 star because of the nice young lady who I chatted with that helped with my eyeliner and for the gal who's helped me in the past and was nice.

They didn't share any info on why Root was different from any other makeup store like what they preach online. The sales person (I believe her name was Nicole) didn't even move much from the counter. I was really disappointed. I tried a couple shadows and lip balm and there isn't anything too exciting. The pomegranate antioxidant serum and it did nothing for me and still was $26. I think it's over hyped. The store looks empty and they hardly had product. I've been in once after this experience can't say I will be a frequent customer.

We came in for wedding day hair and makeup for the bride, myself, mother of the groom, and a bridesmaid on 10-1-16 at 8am. Summer did an amazing job in the brides hair and her make-up was so beautiful, Subtle with a ton of glam!! The mother-in-law of the bride also had beautiful hair and make up done! The stylist who took care of me (her name sadly escapes me but she has one of the most impressive collections of makeup I have seen!!) She did such an amazing job on myself and the other bridesmaid's hair and make up. Loved her old Hollywood glam style that she did on me! The shop is super cute! Love the vintage pictures! It is also super clean as well!! We couldn't have felt more pampered, they even added little touches like mimosas and doughnuts! Their prices are also very reasonable!! They even have some of the makeup available for purchase! Both stylists created timeless looks that looked phenomenal in pictures!!! So much glamor with not overdoing it!! The only complaint I would have would be the location, it is on the back side of a strip mall, so you could miss it easily! I wish I lived closer because this would be my go to place!!
