According to the locals, this is a bigger store than the regular ones. If I get a chance to visit a regular store, I'll confirm, lol. This one does have 2 levels, and you can take the lift (elevator) or the escaltors escalators. The escalator going down wasn't working the times I've been, but just walk down anyway. They have cashiers for check out as well as self check-out lanes. Prices here are awesome! I'm a huge fan of their bakery bread and the snacks. Their sparkling water game is pretty strong, too. Don't be shocked if I check in here again, lol!

If you're around Liverpool, Tesco's of all versions are dotted around places: metro, local, express, superstore. If there are any more, you'll have to let me know! The Liverpool One branch of Superstore is not actually the most super I have come across in Liverpool as there is one in Litherland which is gargantuan in comparison. However, Liverpool One Tesco is certainly what the town needs. You still have plenty of choice here, a variety of sections such as deli, clothes and international foods to keep you adding more to your basket! I find this place more of a relaxing and enjoyable shopping experience as opposed to the Metro version by the big screen, because its more spacious and offers an abundance of products. The location isn't great if you're driving there as it'll cost you pounds to park somewhere nearby but certainly convenient when you have other chores to do around town.

    Tesco - It's orange-y & cakey, not "Twix-y" like I thought! Good, though!

Driving on the left hand side is not something to choose easily....I have only done it once before in 1982 in Jamaica and it was fine because I was incredibly young and the roads were less travelled back then but it's hard to change. I know many accidents/ deaths that have happened because of this. Anyway we decided to do the train bit. When we arrived at the York train station we had some time to wait so Joe said " Go check out the Booths" I already knew this is a grocery store chain in England and had seen it before But I was blown away at this one and was surprised to find it at the Windermere train station. I spent a good 45 minutes in there and purchased many items for our next destination. Beautiful produce and it also had a whole bakery area and a area with pharmacy type items too. When Joe insisted I go honestly I was a bit annoyed like Why? Lol Great store! Best in town!

I made several Thai dishes and Booths had all the necessary ingredients from fish sauce to palm sugar to dried kaffir lime leaves. Prices are much lower and the selection much larger than you'd find in London. Try £26 for a bottle of Veuve, and yes we bought a case for Christmas lunch! If you're self catering in the Lake District and are looking for quality well above your average Tesco Express, be sure to make the drive to Booths.

I often visit at the weekends to pick up a tasty little treat. Be warned though on Saturdays this place gets VERY busy. Also with recent promotions such as the 2 can dine for 10 pounds due to low stock the good stuff sells out by 10am Due to its size and turnover the only negative I could say is they do run out of stuff VERY quickly.

Anyway, as I was passing this one today I thought I'd check it out to see whether anything has changed. There certainly are still lots of ready meals to choose from but I was impressed by the range and obvious quality of the other stock. It's a bit of a cliche that 'M & S food is expensive but it's good' and there's no doubt that it won't be attracting your average Aldi shopper, sorry Aldi shoppers! ;-) Nevertheless there were some relative bargains to be found alongside some real top drawer produce for those occasional treats or that special dinner party. A good range of everyday groceries too and it was certainly doing a brisk trade for a Wednesday morning in March. I suppose its main drawback is the lack of parking close by so if you bought a lot you could end up with a lengthy walk back to your car loaded down with bags.

They is a few ASDA stores in Blackpool too, but as I said, this is probably the main store serving the city centre area that I'm aware of. This store has multiple floors but don't be put off visiting, upstairs you have parking and a cafe, This store has over 600 parking spaces and it seems easy enough to use this car park, although I didn't but with it being a city centre, I don't know if they is a fee, which will probably be redeemed at checkout, but I'm not sure. They do have a great selection of Free From items, both frozen and sweet/savoury non frozen, however it is probably stocking far too many own brand products, which often are the same and do not stand out, it would be nice to see more big brands for competition. This Sainsbury's is quite a big store, and quite a nicer branch than my local stores: Heaton Park and Oldham. They have a nice customer service desk, and the store has a much easier layout and a nice customer service desk. All the staff seemed good. This is one of my favourite Sainsbury's stores and even though the gluten free range needs improving with more branded products rather than own label, I still think this branch deserves 3 stars.
