Expensive, high end textiles, only if you have friends worth the expense. Not at all pushy like too many other stores but also has much higher quality goods. $40 for a small pretty stuffy, but it's much nicer than the big ugly cat pillows. read more

He waited outside the Basicilla Cistern when we were leaving and hounded us to come into his store. He was extremely rude and aggressive. You will not receive the rug you purchased. We purchased a 3' x 5' rug from Punto and Metin Taki Kuy.Guzellik. He convinced us to have them ship the rug to avoid carrying it with us and he would pay the import fees. The rug we received was a used/returned rug which was one-third the size of the one we purchased. The company has been in business a long time, but they cheated us out of thousands of dollars. We attempted to contact them several times and they never responded. If you choose to purchase a rug from Punto or Metin Taki Kuy.Guzellik, take the rug with you. Do not trust them to send what you purchased. They will cheat you and you will lose your money.

This was the 2nd or 3rd place we went into and right away I knew this was the place. Perhaps it was because I was a seasoned veteran at this point, so I felt better about the price I wanted( I'm not telling you because that's part of the magic and the game). The men who run this carpet stall are father and son. The father taught us about where the carpets were from. He also told us he had a "sister in Manhattan, 40 years!" Every salesman in Istanbul has a "brother in San Diego." Not sure I believed him, but either way they gave us some Turkish tea and we were on our way to haggle city. They brought everything in their piles down to show us. It was impressive. We did the dance for a little while, and at the end, we had a price we both liked. They gave us another tea after we made the sale! Well done and Bravo on treatment of the customer. We have some friends coming to Istanbul soon, we will be sure to recommend them to your stall.

During our trip we found ourselves returning several times to this store for the unique, high quality, authentic, and decently priced handiwork. This is a tiny little shop and jam packed with unique items - hand crafted belts, shirts, and the crocheted jewellery. Every time we went in we saw something different. The crocheted jewellery was common to find in other shops as well, but wasn't exactly the same here. This store seemed to take the local common handiwork and find ways in which to make something new and stylish from it. Fantastic little place and I definitely love the unique pieces I purchased here. The service was also very friendly.

Then I discovered that this store had another floor! I strolled around looking at the clothes and really liked the styles. It's like if Zara, H&M, Banana Republic, and maybe Forever XXI had a baby, the offspring would be BSL. But! BSL is still very unique and definitely has great looking clothes at affordable prices. It reminds me of Bershka too. The fitting rooms are downstairs. The staff members don't speak English, so I used Google Translator to help with our communications. While I was looking through clothes for my size, the employees offered to help me find my size. That was nice of them. Checkout was very easy. The register is pretty close to the entrance. They accept cash and cards. Bring your ID because they asked me for ID to verify my card. Also, I suggest double checking the stitching, seams, and the clothes before leaving. When I got back to the hotel, I found a little stain spot on the striped pants and lace-thread coming out of the laced top. But it's alright, because they are not very noticeable.
