Willi DJ'ed our November 2019 wedding at The Barns in Monterey, and he did a fantastic job! We wholeheartedly recommend working with him! He kept the party lively and fun, made great song choices, and was attentive and helpful to us the whole time. A few highlights that made the experience great: -Very helpful meeting prior to the wedding day where we walked through the reception agenda; he answered questions we had and worked with us on the sequence of the various dances and activities in the reception, and gave his professional opinion on areas where we were unsure (and he was absolutely correct in those cases) -He was familiar with our reception venue and it showed in his preparation and day-of setup, he knew exactly where to set up his speakers for the outdoor portion and brought just the right amount of extra lighting for inside when the dancing got underway -We needed a DJ that speaks both English and Spanish and could involve all of the guests throughout the night - from playing a great selection of songs in Spanish, which was a hit with everyone, to coaching the non-Spanish-speakers on traditions such as La Vibora de la Mar, Willi handled this perfectly We received many compliments from the wedding guests on how much fun the reception was, and we owe much of that to Willi for his great planning, communication, and music! read more

We used DJ Willi Entertainment for our wedding at the San Mateo Marriott, which was over a month ago, and we are still having guests tell us how much they enjoyed the DJ. When you book Willi, you are not just booking a DJ that will hit play on some playlist like so many DJ's out there. Willi will be your entertainment for the night. He is engaged, aware of what you need, and keeps the crowd happy and dancing. From our first meeting, I knew that we made the right choice with Willi. DJ Willi performed the music for my 60th birthday party. The party was Cuban themed and I asked him to perform a list of music provided for the event. I gave him very general instructions on what to play during the appetizer/cocktail hour, then the dinner hour and then then told him to come up with an outline that would get everyone on the dance floor after dinner. I was absolutely pleased with the outcome! DJ Willi was very engaging from the beginning. His Salsa lesson was wonderful and we had almost everyone on the dance floor. My sister and brother in law are very good Salsa dancers, and they were out there on the dance floor for the lesson. After, my brother in law shared that he learned some new moves from DJ Willi. Willi made my party the absolute best! Everyone, who could, was on the dance floor all night long! Willi even joined us at the end. If you are looking for a DJ for a wedding, it may seem like a lot of work, but here is my experience with DJ Willie. My brother hired DJ Willie for his weeding and DJ Willie always made an effort to meet with my brother & fiancé at a time and location that would be convenient for them. My brother also didn't have to make an entire list of songs he wanted to be play, he gave Willie a few genres that he liked and Willie was able to create a cohesive mixture that flowed nicely throughout the reception. He was probably the first one to show up to set up and the last one to leave. He's kind, friendly, easy-going, professional and so helpful. Without all of the music lists and music timeline he provided, we would have been lost and frustrated. He understood our music preferences and kept the party going, Also DJ Willie answered in a timely manner and more importantly, he is very affordable, his rates are reasonable and so worth it! I'm a little late on posting this review. We used DJ Willi Entertainment for a GALA event for Salinas PAL to help raise money for children's programs in our community. DJ Willi was the utmost professional organizing the right music and throughout the event. DJ Willi has all the skills necessary to keep everyone engaged on their feet to assure they were having an amazing time. We would highly recommend DJ Willi to anyone and everyone that desires great entertainment. We would give him 10 Stars if Yelp would let us. At my daughter's (Yaya) & friend's (Zave) Sweet & Swaggy 16th birthday party in March, DJ Willi had everyone dancing, from the youngest to the wisest! When it was time to "Turn Up" as the young ones say now-a-days he did! Willi had the young ones line dancing & teaching pple (who didn't know the moves) how to dance to songs all while mixing it up! We continue to have DJ Willi come back and do a fundraiser for my children's preschool each year because he does a great job! Our event is a dinner, dance and live and silent auctions so there are lots of pieces to it and different music is necessary for the different parts. He also provided a projector and screen for a tribute. He setup quickly and efficiently and even had a good time bidding in our silent auction! Leading up to the party he was professional and made himself available for questions and even met me at the venue the week of the event so we could talk about setup. That was all wonderful but the best part was getting the pictures he had taken. He took some amazing shots that a cell phone pic wouldn't have been able to capture. Dj Willi is amazing!! He was wonderful , more than I could have asked for. I had a short notice wedding so everything was last minute . We met up with him and he just made so much stress go away. He was the only vendor i enjoyed meeting with. All my questions and concerns we had he was helpful with. He was also the MC and he had the perfect voice for it . He is very charasmatic . He knew spanish and english to talk with the different crowds. Everyone loved him. i had so many compliments on his performance . Music was great! We hired DJ Willi for our corporate Holiday party. He was professional, punctual, highly responsive, easy to work with and was ready with all of our requested songs! We have a diverse age group and he nailed it with the song choices and knew to keep the songs clean because it was a corporate event! Let me tell you that this was the best Holiday party that we have had in a VERY long time and that was primarily because of him. He was engaging and really got everyone pumped up and on the dance floor. He even threw in a few Salsa lessons for us which was a big hit! Wow! Where do I begin? DJ Willie hosted our wedding this month and we couldn't be more pleased with his work! His professionalism is one of a kind! He is dynamic and easy to work with. Always reachable and very friendly! He knows so much about what he does and he helped us every step of the way. Willi was amazing! He was our wedding DJ and made everyone feel comfortable. He was diligent in checking in with my wife and me to make sure we were taken care of as well as having a good time. He made two separate families become one in dancing despite any age. Even showing people on the dance floor some moves and encouraging them to dance and let loose. Couldn't imagine any other DJ being in charge of the tunes and MC on one of the most important days of my life. We have known Willy for years and my wife and I absolutely adore him and the care that he puts into each of his clients/events. Our wedding required him to set up outdoors for the ceremony then move indoors for the party, he did this seamlessly!
