DJ Willi was nothing but a pleasure to work with. We gave him a couple simple instructions for the festival announcements and left everything else up to him and he ran with it. He did such a great job and showed up on time and did not pack up early but promptly broke it down and left without an issues. He was friendly and drew the crowd in for a festival that had approximately 2k people come through. We definitely want him back for more events. You won't be disappointed with his services. read more

DJ Willi is very professional. He had a very nice setup and he had multiple types of setups to choose from based on the venue. We hired him for our wedding and could not be happier with his work. He also setup his lights and uplighting, and a photo booth, which was a hit. I was most impressed with his organizational skills. He had everything planned out for us ahead of time and even guided us on which types of music to play. I would definitely recommend using his service for your next event. We're from San Diego and had to plan a long-distance wedding in Carmel. Based on everyone else's recommendations, DJ Willi was our go-to guy for our wedding last weekend and he was beyond amazing. From start to finish, DJ Willi was always on hand to answer any questions or provide any help that he could. We had MAJOR issues with Rocky Point Restaurant which was our venue (see my Yelp review and also TheKnot.com), and DJ Willi even offered to help us find a new venue, should we have needed an emergency last minute change. He is hands down the best DJ for any event. From the pre-ceremony music to the very last song on the dance floor, everything was perfect. He was punctual, outgoing, well-dressed, and so polite to all of our guests. Not only was he beyond professional, but his assistant took some of the best candid photos of the night. Our guests are still raving about how fun he was and how all the music perfectly flowed from one song to the next. From old school motown, throw-back 90's, to current top songs including reggae and tropical house, DJ Willi made sure there was music that suited everyone's age range, all played at the perfect time throughout the day and night. No one wanted to go home and all begged for another hour of dancing. I'm not kidding, there is zero reason to hire anyone else other than DJ Willi. If he were here in San Diego I'd make sure he was hired by anyone and everyone I know. You and your guests will have the best time on the dance floor and will rave about your event long after it's over. Thank you DJ Willi for making our day sooooooo fun! read more

We hired DJ Willi for our wedding on Sept 3rd, and couldn't have been more pleased. - He's very personable, professional, and easy to work with. - He was both MC and DJ for our wedding, and thanks to him, everything flowed very smoothly - definitely helped take some of the stress out of the day! - It was seamless (to us at least) how well he integrated with the venue to set up audio for the ceremony and reception - He had guests out on the dance floor up until the very last minute! Obviously, with a DJ, this is the most important thing - our guests had a blast, and I don't think there was ever a lull on the dance floor, which is a credit to his ability to read his crowd and choose appropriate songs - Absolutely recommended! read more

DJ Willi is amazing! He was so accommodating and flexible the entire time. DJ Willi Entertainment is by far one of the most professional, enthusiastic, and exciting entertainers I have had the privilege to encounter. The music is the best, the dancing is even better, and Willi is a genuine professional who always puts on a good time. I recommend him and his company for any and all events you could ever need. From weddings and quinceanera's to private parties, birthdays, and Latin socials! You will not be disappointed with his entertainment services. 5 star all the way! read more

My family used Dj Willi services for a sweet 15 this past weekend. Willi has done a good job in the past but unfortunately he couldn't make it and sent a replacement. WORST DJ EVER!! The replacement was rude, was smoking marijuana and dismiss us when we would go and suggest different music to play. Unfortunately this man did not have any experience being a Dj due to using Spotify as his main go to and playing music we did not like. Maybe it was our bad luck but we rather not experience this again. Just warning people in case they don't get Willi read more

Once I was engaged the one decision I didn't have to make was who would be the DJ. There was no question that we were going with DJ Willi. I have known him for years, going to various events where he has DJ'd and his DJ'ing skills are indisputable. I knew that I didn't have to worry about DJ Willi picking the right type of music, or knowing how to read a crowd. As soon as we booked him for our wedding he sent us documents with templates to help us outline the music for our ceremony and reception. We met with him twice (early in the planning process, then a week or so before the wedding) to review details and MC'ing notes (yes he also MC'd the reception!) I was very pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the reception to see how beautiful the place was, as DJ Willi set-up lights around the room giving the reception hall that special touch. It has been 7 months since the wedding and my family still comments on how well DJ Willi was able to work the diverse crowd. He was able to please my old school family playing old salsa/ bachata hits, he played Chilena music to please my Mexican in-laws and their family and for our very diverse friends he played a mix of hip-hop, pop, and even worked in a country song for my Lady A' fans. DJ Willi is very professional, dependable and easy to work with, a great addition to any event! read more

If you are looking for one of the best DJ's for your wedding or event, I'll save you time and tell you no one compares to DJ Willi. My partner and I had DJ Willi for our wedding at a winery in Carmel Valley and were blown away by the extreme ease of working together in planning; the great sound and lighting system he uses and the energy he brought to the event. All of our guests were on the dance floor throughout the evening. Additionally, DJ Willi was awesome in teaching us a fun first dance literally a couple of weeks before the wedding and with one lesson! We are so thankful to Willi for contributing such a great vibe for our celebration. We will most definitely use him for more celebrations in the future! read more

This review is long over due. 2 years ago in the summer of 2014 my wife and i were in the market for a DJ to help us entertain at our Wedding reception. Our maid of honor found DJ Willi on both Facebook and Yelp. I checked out the videos, posts and comments and immediately knew he was the best pick. He is friendly, good with all ages, & excels at organization and communication. We checked out his work with the dance lessons he puts on in the area and cemented our decision. It means he stays relevant & current with what people want to listen and dance to. All we had to do is work out an available date, put a deposit, fill in some ideas for songs we like via email, he showed up with everything he needed to DJ, and we paid for excellent service. The lights and speakers were high grade. We and our guest had a great time and he facilitated with the memories we created that happy day. A++ work, thanks DJ Willi! read more

We hired DJ Willi for our wedding reception and he knocked it out of the park! He was very friendly and professional while working with our tailored playlists. His great sound and light setup were combined with his excellent DJing to help make our big night super fun! The light set up was really really fun and colorful in the later part of the night. He kept up a good energy with song choices during the later part of the night when we wanted more people to dance. A lot of people danced and said they had so much fun. He also took the time to meet with us in person before the event, he really cares about getting to know a client's style and what they want for their day. Appreciate him! We highly recommend you seriously consider him for your event xD read more

DJ Willi is the best of the best! He traveled all the way to Lake Tahoe to DJ our wedding. His taste in music is perfect for everyone. He had so many people on the dance floor for hours. Best DJ ever. Everyone was dancing the entire wedding, I loved all the music, and he is super affordable and helpful. DJ Willi made our wedding the most fun night of our lives. All of our guests have been commenting on how much fun they had. Also he did an amazing job of getting everyone from all generations up and dancing and helping the music flow throughout the night. He also went above and beyond, he MC'd the whole night, helped keep all the speeches on track, and even held the door open for me when I walked down the isle. I couldn't recommend DJ Willi more, especially for a wedding. So much more than a DJ, hes a musical wedding coordinator! He is so awesome!!! We can't begin to tell you enough wonderful things about Will!! He was our DJ for our wedding two weeks ago and everyone is still talking about what a phenomenal dj he was, how fun our dance party was and how kind he was to all of my guests. He was on point, announcing everything we needed and followed up with any questions he had as well as wrote to us after to make sure he had provided a quality evening. I will rave about him forever. Dj willie did an amazing job with my wedding. I've been apart of many weddings and the Dj is rarely a talking point. The next day after the wedding was over many of your guest made countless comments on how well the Dj did. Which was amazing due to the vast age difference that we had at the wedding. Everybody was on the dance floor. He even jumped on the dance floor and helped teach us a dance. Dj Willie meet with us before the wedding and help coordinate the Ceremony and the rehearsal and even mc'd the event. My wedding was in June. Dj Willi was the first vendor I signed on. I just had to make sure he was my Dj for my wedding. I didn't want anyone else but him. From friends reviews and going to his salsa classes I knew I didn't need to do any research. Plus we had become good friends by then. He called me shortly before the wedding to make sure all the songs and music we wanted was played and there was nothing missed. He went above and beyond the day off the wedding. Always with a smile and spunkiness. I received soooo many compliments on the music.. and all I had to respond was "yeah I know!" He's the best. Whenever I need a Dj, I know who to call! Look no further, you will definitely be making more than one call to Dj Willi. read more

We found DJ Willi very late in our wedding planning, but we are both so glad we did! At first, we truly considered just renting equipment and playing an MP3 with our favorite songs. We thought it would save us money. At the last minute we realized this was far more complicated than it appeared, and we starting researching local DJs. I must admit, I truly hated the idea of a DJ, but DJ Willi was so amazing. He met with us in advance, last minute, at the venue, so we could explain everything we wanted and show him the venue. He communicated with us non-stop to assuage my fears. We sent him a list of music we liked, and a list of songs we did not want to hear, and he took all of that into consideration when creating our playlist. We had DJ Willi play our favorite songs during dinner, and he was even able to find some pretty hard to find songs! He kept the music at an appropriate level for ambiance. Then, for our reception, he really made the night. His setup was seamless and fast, before any guests even noticed, the room was ready. He introduced us for our dance, and played the perfect selection of songs for the other first dances. As the party really got started DJ Willy had some great music for the kids to dance to, and took requests to heart for all of our guests. In all, DJ Willi comes highly recommended from us. The cost was certainly not as high as I feared, and he was worth every penny because he takes pride in his work and is a consummate professional. If I ever need another DJ, he will be the one I call! read more

We used DJ Willi's services for a corporate event at an aquarium. We had a complex set up - not only did DJ Willi have to provide the DJ booth in one area, but we needed a keyboard, mixer, microphone and speaker in another area (to work with the venue's projector), and uplights in the third area. When I spoke with him beforehand, he knew exactly what was needed for each of the setups (and did his homework by walking through the venue beforehand). He made the night's AV completely stress free. Because of the venue, the set-up timing was very tight, but he got everything done in time and it worked perfectly. And then there was the dancing. I don't need to say it because all the other reviewers did, but I'll mention he had a large group dancing the whole time and people LOVED his beats. Songs just flowed from one into the next and people told me they couldn't leave the dance floor, they were having too much fun. Wish I could bring him with for every event I'm involved in! read more

When it came to Willi MCing our wedding he did a fabulous job. We had forgotten to give him a outro song and he picked the perfect song that represented us. He engaged with our guest and even got on the dance floor to teach the guest a dance. Willi made our day perfect and helped everything run smoothly. DJ Willi is the best DJ on the Monterey peninsula. I have seen him at many other events on the peninsula and knew he was the 1st one to go to when planning an event. I had the pleasure of working with him for my daughters Sweet 16. I especially liked how professional he was from beginning to end. My daughters Sweet 16 was difficult because I had guests that really like completely different genres, he did such a great job at keeping everyone involved and happy and reading the crowd. I am still getting guest telling me how amazing he was, even the teenagers. He really makes the entire process so easy, from pre planning to the date of the event.
