He always answered my calls promptly, answered every question I had, and made me feel completely confident that our music was in good hands. I was able to give him a list of songs I wanted, songs I absolutely did not want, and the overall vibe I was going for. He took everything I gave him and filled in the gaps perfectly. He completely understood my taste and somehow knew exactly what to play. One of my biggest fears going into our wedding was that no one would dance. I wanted everyone to have fun, get on the dance floor, and really enjoy themselves. Derek absolutely delivered. People were dancing the entire night! The energy was incredible, and so many of our guests have told us how much fun they had. Something else that really stood out to me was that Derek was so much more than our DJ that day. He was helping every single vendor however he could. He was helping the caterers pass out food, bussing tables, helping the bartenders, and even jumping in to help our coordinator. He was constantly moving around making sure everything was taken care of, and he never hesitated to step in wherever he was needed. He was truly going above and beyond in every possible way. Some of our guests were actually asking if Derek was the owner of the venue because of how involved he was throughout the entire day! That's the kind of person he is. He genuinely cared about our wedding being perfect, not just about doing his job as the DJ. And then Derek did something that meant more to me than he probably realizes. He audio recorded our ceremony, even though I never asked him to. Having that recording now is incredibly special to me. It's something I didn't even know I needed until he gave it to us, and I will treasure it forever.
