Mike asked all of the right questions, provided so much thoughtful advice, and made us smile every time we met. He provided some really great insights for building a great ambience. On the day of our wedding, he curated the vibe perfectly and made everything flow smoothly. We didn't need to worry about a single thing knowing that Mike would manage the flow and energy. Our dance floor was so energetic and we got lots of compliments on his upbeat demeanor. A real highlight for our guests was his suggestion entirely, starting dinner with a "Dance for Your Dinner" which got the energy up and primed everyone to get down on the dance floor later. We also opted for uplighting through MR DJ, which was totally worth the money. We really loved the old Hollywood style lights, they added such a cool vibe to our dance floor and our photos. Thank you for being the best DJ we could have asked for!

Mike worked effortlessly with our other vendors to keep everything on schedule while allowing us to simply enjoy the day. As a bride, that peace of mind is priceless. If you're on the fence about adding the photobooth, definitely do it! I truly cannot thank Derek enough for making our wedding so incredibly special and fun. I can…read morehonestly say that our wedding was the best party I have ever attended, and so much of that was because of Derek. From the very beginning, Derek was so easy to work with. He always answered my calls promptly, answered every question I had, and made me feel completely confident that our music was in good hands. I was able to give him a list of songs I wanted, songs I absolutely did not want, and the overall vibe I was going for. He took everything I gave him and filled in the gaps perfectly. He completely understood my taste and somehow knew exactly what to play. One of my biggest fears going into our wedding was that no one would dance. I wanted everyone to have fun, get on the dance floor, and really enjoy themselves. Derek absolutely delivered. People were dancing the entire night! The energy was incredible, and so many of our guests have told us how much fun they had. Something else that really stood out to me was that Derek was so much more than our DJ that day. He was helping every single vendor however he could. He was helping the caterers pass out food, bussing tables, helping the bartenders, and even jumping in to help our coordinator. He was constantly moving around making sure everything was taken care of, and he never hesitated to step in wherever he was needed. He was truly going above and beyond in every possible way. Some of our guests were actually asking if Derek was the owner of the venue because of how involved he was throughout the entire day! That's the kind of person he is. He genuinely cared about our wedding being perfect, not just about doing his job as the DJ. And then Derek did something that meant more to me than he probably realizes. He audio recorded our ceremony, even though I never asked him to. Having that recording now is incredibly special to me. It's something I didn't even know I needed until he gave it to us, and I will treasure it forever. Derek is not only an incredibly talented DJ, but he is also such a genuine, thoughtful, and kind person. He truly cared about making our wedding special, and it showed in every part of the day. If you are getting married in Tahoe, hire Derek. Seriously. I hope every couple getting married in Tahoe gets the opportunity to work with him because he made our wedding unforgettable. I could not recommend him enough!
