Jack provided the lighting and music for my daughter's wedding reception and everything that he provided was first class. From the very beginning he walked us through what we would need and kept us on track. We knew that keeping the event moving was not something we would have to worry about. There was never a dull moment, the dance floor was packed, and the lighting set the perfect mood! The entire evening was truly special and custom made for the bride and groom! read more

Jack Light DJ'ed my wedding ceremony and wedding reception. It was convenient that he was able to provide music for all parts of the wedding. He was extremely accommodating with all of my requests. He downloaded the exact versions of the ceremony songs we requested, he put together a perfect playlist for the cocktail hour that complimented our venue and the feel we were going for, and he played great reception music to get the dance floor packed! One of my bridesmaids performed our first dance song, and Jack provided her with the sound equipment she needed to perform with her guitar. I can't recommend Jack and DJ Entertainment enough! read more

Jack was awesome for my wedding over Memorial Day weekend! He provided the ceremony and reception music as well as uplighting and dance floor lighting. He was very easy going and accommodating, which was especially useful while planning the wedding from over 7 hours away. I didn't even get to meet him until after the ceremony portion, but everything was perfect. He played just about every genre of music and really watches the crowd to see what is working. Would definitely recommend him for any Amarillo area wedding or large party! And would definitely use him again! read more

Specialties

DJ Entertainment is the most experienced wedding DJ in the Amarillo area. From an intimate family gathering to an elaborate event for hundreds, we have been there. Weddings have been our passion since 1979. We are honored to have you consider our services for your wedding, and we will be mindful of your unique ideas, vision, and expectations. We have been a part of weddings throughout the Texas Panhandle, plus others from Colorado Springs to Austin and Albuquerque to Oklahoma City. At DJ Entertainment, each client is unique and every wedding should be distinctive, reflecting the personal style of the bride and groom.

History

Established in 1979.

We play music for all styles, ages and tastes. We will adapt to your guest's interests to keep everyone dancing. We are not limited to playing preset CDs or the same songs at every reception. Every DJ Entertainment wedding reception is unique and entirely customized from your first dance to your departure. Count on us to provide everyone with the music they want to hear and dance to. The advance planning will insure your wedding reception flows seamlessly from beginning to end. We will coordinate the formalities you want, including formal introductions, toasts, first dance(s) coordination, and cutting your wedding cake. The choices are always yours to make and we will closely work with your photographer, videographer and coordinator to make sure everyone is aware of each activity in advance. We are fun and professional DJ's - never tacky or cheesy. We are never intrusive or obnoxious on the microphone (or on the dance floor with your bridesmaids).

Meet the Business Owner: Jack L.

Every wedding day has a soundtrack of its own--from the walk down the aisle to the first dance, the bouquet toss to your final farewell, music helps set the tone for the entire day ... which is why your DJ has such an important role. We do so much more than just sit in the corner and play music. We are extremely involved in every aspect and work hard to make each minute of the night perfect.

She was hired to assure things ran smoothly. Her and her snippy attitude was what created any issues within our wedding party. She talked back to us, she was demeaning to us and our pastor. She rudely started the wedding when we were told we had 10 more minutes and our bride needed literally ONE minute to finish a curl! She wouldn't let out processional walk in, in the order she had made them practice twice the night before. Tammy snapped at us when we said something about it. She was putting her other old decorations up DURING the wedding. Her brother (the DJ) continued to play music for several minutes while the bride and father were awkwardly standing at the alter. He did not announce anything until we asked continuously throughout the entire night, even though she assured us he had a script. Our guests made comments and later told us that the announcements were muffled and could not be understood. We payed way too much for the way we were treated. The only good thing was that the venue was pretty, even though there were cobwebs everywhere including the brides room!

Hiring Jack Light as the DJ for Junior Achievement's Taste of Achievement event was a fantastic decision. Jack went above and beyond to make the evening a success. Jack's charisma and stage presence were undeniable. He kept the energy high throughout the event, seamlessly transitioning between announcements, speeches, and of course, the music. His positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile were truly appreciated. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a talented and professional entertainer who can create a memorable experience. read more
