Me tomó el número y me aseguró que me llamarían, pero como era de esperarse, nunca lo hicieron. La falta de seriedad y responsabilidad es increíble. No hay comunicación, no hay seguimiento, y claramente no les importa el cliente una vez han cobrado por el servicio. No recomiendo este lugar si buscas que te tomen en serio y te respeten como cliente. I did my taxes with Jesús, and in June we agreed to file an amended return. Since then, I've been trying to get in touch with him with no success. I called multiple times, and at first, the owner, Érica, told me that Jesús was out but would be back in July. When I called again in July, she said she didn't know when he'd be back--which is ridiculous coming from the owner herself. I called again a few days ago, and this time someone else told me Jesús won't be back until next January, during tax season. They took my number and promised a callback, which of course never happened. The lack of professionalism and responsibility is unbelievable. There's no communication, no follow-up, and clearly, they don't care about their clients once they've been paid. I do not recommend this place if you're looking to be taken seriously and treated with respect as a client. If you value your time and want reliable, professional service--look elsewhere

At the end of the appointment, I understood that I owed taxes, which was fine. no point during the process were the service fees explained to me. This leads into the next one but have you ever walked into a relatives place, there are papers literally stacked everywhere feet deep and everything is everywhere and looked like a scene out of hoarders but THEY knew where it was? Yeah...that. Who needs filing cabinets when you have your own disorganized system. - COMPLETENESS ON FIRST VISIT - Prepare to have a lot of back and forth to get them whatever documents are required. I thought this was just me and I have never had this happen before, but I checked with another client and sure enough...same thing. This is different from other places I've gone where if something was actually missing we made sure we knew exactly what it was when we reviewed the documents and I sent it asap. and just to clarify, I generally go in with everything organized and ready to go with little/no follow up. - SLOW - you need LOTS of lead time. Called for appt in March, got in literally the beginning of April...which for the record, I have no problem with this (maybe the rest was an April fools joke and I missed it). When I went in April was told they would have to file an extension and would get an estimate within the week so I could pay the estimate and avoid penalties/fines, again...I wasn't amused but still had no problem with this. Two weeks in (Friday before taxes are due) there was still no estimate or update and when pressed they finally said they would "try" to get an estimate done by EOD Monday (yeah, when taxes are due)...but no promises. Had I known this would happen, I would have saved myself the trouble back in March, gone somewhere else and filed on time with no hassle. Instead I had to estimate my own taxes over Easter weekend and file my own extension because finding a tax accounting on good Friday, over Easter weekend when taxes are due Monday are impossible. - LACK OF COMMUNICATION - Read the above paragraph. At no point up until the Friday before taxes were due did they even indicate they most likely wouldn't be able to even estimate what was owed. Even then on Friday, it was a "maybe". Not sure about anyone else, but I don't hinge not having IRS fines on a hope and a prayer. If you can't do something, just say so and avoid upset clients. - PAYING FOR AN IRS AUDIT. Married with kids and been going to them for years? No problem, just prove the kids actually reside with you in the form of documentation the IRS would require for an Audit. Ever read what exact documentation goes into a full IRS audit? If you haven't, you'll be up to snuff after doing taxes here...because that's what's required to do your taxes here in the first place. Some may think this is a pro, so It'll be in that section too. - NOT TECH SAVVY - If you are looking for cutting edge here, it had better be in the form of paper cuts. If you are looking for agility with software, this probably shouldn't be your first stop. But again, some people like paper and working in it so this will show in the pro's as well. - PRICE - Typically after reviewing everything in detail (to the point most places would give an estimate then and there) other accountants can give an estimate based on the number forms, etc. Not here. You'll find out the magic number when it's all over. Kind of like a trip to the hospital, go first and figure out what you owe later. PROS - BE PREPARED FOR AN IRS AUDIT - For those people out there that want to make sure they can pass an IRS audit AND make sure their kids are really theirs and those kids actually live with them and their spouse...year after year, this is your place. Mind you, it'll cost you, but you're pretty much guaranteed to pass a real audit with minimal or no extra work. - PAPER - Anyone who enjoys how things were done before technology, this could be a very good fit. - SECURITY - They are super careful about SSN and sensitive information NOT being on all the paperwork mentioned above. Since there is paperwork everywhere, this is really good thing. - FRIENDLY - Definitely high marks when it comes personality. Nothing but good things to say on this. I would actually move the stars up one for this alone if it weren't for the rest of the experience was already in the negatives. OVERALL Let me start with I really don't like writing negative reviews and that an experience has to go well beyond what would be considered a "glitch" because those happen and are just part of business. With that said, you couldn't pay me enough to go here again and if there were negative stars I would gladly mark that instead. This could have all been avoided with something as simple as being told they had too many returns to do which happens and I would have been ok with. Instead it turned into a horrible experience, hours doing taxes myself Easter weekend to avoid fines and this review.
