Had a very disappointing dinner @ Divots Aug 31/22. Very busy and understaffed. Took half an hour to get a meun. Then she only had one, for 2 people. Got a drink and ordered finally. Mussels appi, overly salty cream broth, and half the mussels were not opened. that was supposed to be an appetizer. Main courses arrived about 2 minutes later. Pulled pork sandwich, very soggy bun, supposed to be with Cajun fries, got regular fries. Never saw the waitress again, no condiments on table. No offer of any, and never asked how our meals were. When I complained to the waitress when she showed up after we were finished, I explained about the mussels being only a half order that was edible and said I did not expect to pay for them, she just shrugged and left the table. Also that the fries were the wrong ones, didn't get any comment from her.
When I went to pay up at the bar, I was told my comments were inappropriate and not appreciated. I was given 25% discount on the mussels, and a lot of snarky attitude.
I realize being understaffed in a busy restaurant can be very stressful, but the dismissive and snarky attitude is not acceptable. Sure, it's just a golf course restaurant, and beer and burgers are their specialty, and when there are not a lot of choices in town, to begin with, I guess you can do whatever you want, and the customers are supposed to just take it.
