I always get the frutaria less sugar option which is perfect sweetness for me. The options for additions are great. The only downside is the price, pretty expensive for açaí in Brazil. Coconut water and plethora of juice options. They also have a menu with food, although I have never tried any of it to comment.

Here is the breakdown: FOOD Love their açaí bowls and the add-on option to different fruits and condiments-- you customize to your taste buds and I definitely enjoy that. SERVICE Biggest opportunity here. I understand it is usually busy however, no need to be rude. The service is very slow and the waiters it is basically just trying to get through all the orders. No special attention, very slow service and no friendly customer service. DECOR/ AMBIANCE Very casual environment and enjoy the open space to it. OVERALL I tend to go here more for the convenience of location. That's pretty much it. Service needs some work and there isn't that wow factor of you must go because the açaí bowls are amazing. They are good but not excepcional.

Every dish we ordered came out perfectly plated, much more effort put in than you would expect from a beachside cafe - the effort didn't go unnoticed! Especially beautiful were the avocado toast and the Poke bowl. Not only was it pretty looking, but it tasted superb. This place was so good we came here both days we were in town - too good not to revisit! Highly recommend!

The açaí smoothie came out first and was perfectly thick and sweetened just enough - it was delicious. The mushroom wrap was great as well. I'm not a big bread eater (for sandwiches) so I likely would have asked for it without a wrap had I thought ahead. However, the spinach wrap was good and a great seasoning to it. This place is a bit more on the pricey side (in line with other restaurants in the area) - my meal was about $13 USD which is a little less than what I would have paid for a comparable meal in the US. If you're not on a strict budget then I'd recommend a detox meal here!

Came to Dona Vitamina to check it out and it's awesome! Open decor, a garden in the back of the room, vertical garden, open kitchen, smiling service staff, magazine rack, truly felt like I was having breakfast somewhere around Rodrigo de Freitas Lake in Rio. Menu has a wide range from vitaminas (smoothies), wraps, sandwiches, pão de queijo, bread, cakes, the list goes on. Though it's a healthy place, so no flaky croissants stuffed with ham and cheese, chocolate, etc. Since I had a bikram class to attend, I picked a açaí bowl which probably could feed three people easily, sliced banana e a side of granola along.
