BUT the service with Evan's smiling face made it clear this was going to be much less of a scary experience, the lobby, the rooms, and the clean bed sheets followed up with that promise. I will say there was concerning marks on the walls but that's neither here nor there maybe some awkward furniture movement? Interesting beer bottle opener in the bathroom, convenient blow dryer, and iron, available and a cute little convenience store in the lobby with all the common drinks and snacks one could like. We would definitely stay here again if life ever brought us in this direction. Evan really helped turn the experience around, made us giggle with the pool joke as well. Thanks Evan!

So first of all I was a guest at this wedding venue. It's a season of COVID and lots of…read moreuncertainty. My co-worker was married here and of course she had planned a outdoor wedding but it's October and it's rainy season. The planners did a great job of fixing up the chapel. It is a farm house and there was live stock, A intimate chapel that was quaintly historical. It was a simple elegance. Even the farm house was just charming. It did rain but it didn't put a damper on the event......ok my cute shoes were ruined but it's all good. The house, chapel and reception tent have a short walk. They do offer golf cart shuttle service but it was fine. The misty rain still made it a lovely fall day - especially with the cows. Oh and no it didn't smell like cow poo! The tent was a lovely setup and as the sun went down the lights came on. Its a drive and not close to anything. I had to leave early but for those who stayed they said the food was good.

They were also able to separate invoices for pet fees and late checkout fees too which will make my expense report easier. They have a decent breakfast option but it doesn't change and unfortunately there's no fresh fruit options. The gym is also very minuscule for the size of the hotel and it has very limited equipment. The rooms are large and they have all the items needed to make meals during your stay.

Upon arrival, you couldn't help but notice the fairly large property tucked away at the end of a long country road. The grounds were well-kept, and check-in was a breeze. The staff was friendly, professional, and consistently engaged in polite conversations. The accommodations were fine after some additional love and care. There were a few things housecleaning missed, but it wasn't enough to deeply impact our stay. The Patriarch King Room was spacious. It included a kitchen, full-size fridge, stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, and large wall unit with television. We loved the layout and the view of the patio from our window; however, the squeaky wooden floor and shower door were a bit noisy--nothing they can't fix. The complimentary breakfast was decent, and the seating in the Acorn Room was sufficient for couples and larger groups to socialize. One thing I will say is that we felt well cared for during our stay, never overlooked. We enjoyed walking around the grounds, hanging out on the outdoor patio, which was beautifully lit with rustic lights, and the children in our group had a great time in their indoor pool. Overall, everyone we encountered- both guests and workers- was genuinely nice, which we really appreciated. In addition, this pet-friendly hotel made it easy for us to bring our fur babies along. They pretty much went wherever we went no questions asked, it was quite liberating, to say the least. If you're looking to visit the Blackstone area and searching for a property that maintains its small-town charm, while providing a peaceful, calm, retreat-like setting, then consider this hotel. I would recommend it.
