It is a small town library so it is not large however the has a good diversity of materials for its size and the staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The library has wi-fi access, audio books, a good sized section for children and even some paperbacks that you can take with you.

We…read morehad stopped in a couple of times to use their free wifi and leave donations but I overheard many conversations and have to say there is a great staff here! They are very helpful and have lots of literature on the area to hand out. Whether people are asking about lodging or hiking trails or fishing or shopping, the ladies at the front counter always had some great tips to give. I also loved that they were able to use the space to display a fantastic and huge Creede model-very cool! I will definitely continue to stop by as any of the nearby ranches you can rent cabins at have no signal and no internet access. Also, you never know what questions may pop up! Please remember to leave donations for use of the wifi!

Sometime ago, I'd parked my vehicle outside of a designated stall at one of the local business…read moreparking lots. Officer Cody Van Ry approached me for that. Which was fine and I clearly stated my reasons. I also inquired if he wanted me to move and the officer said no. It should've been a routine check and done. But oddly, our interaction went longer and the officer kept asking me personal questions (such as my hobbies). He was really giddy/chatty--eager to share his thoughts on casual subjects. And then it hit me. My mind realized, "this person is interested in me romantically." Which, unfortunately for officer Van Ry, who was encountering likely the straightest person possible. But even if it was somebody else receptive to his casual advances, it'd be highly inappropriate for the police officer to do so using a badge. I tried my best in both answering while not leading officer Van Ry on and avoiding to flat out say no (and not hurt his emotions). The officer eventually left and I promptly filed a complaint the following day.
