Darcy Paquette Keller Williams…read more Don't be fooled by this woman's sweet demeanor and positive language. She is dishonest and CHEAP. Although I was the only one who could do what she asked for a reasonable price compared to others she has not paid for the services rendered that allowed her to sell her home. Darcy contracted me to fix her deck as the buyers inspection noted some problems. I gave a detailed quote (estimation) and squeezed her in as she was trying to close her real estate deal. The real estate deal closed BEFORE we started work and Darcy paid the new owner only the amount quoted. We did the work, sent the invoice, and Darcy was no where to be found. She wanted me to get the money out of the new owner. The new owner had not contracted us. Darcy has contracted us. The materials came in higher than expected and the new owner only paid us the quoted amount. Darcy has done nothing but push back and argue and make excuses. Her unprofessional behavior and lack of respect for me and my family in sticking us with her materials cost dumbfounds me. I'm now going to have to file in small claims court as she refuses to pay the additional amount which is less than $600... in a nearly 7 figure real estate deal this is inconsequential. For my one man company it means the difference of paying my bills or not.

Detailed review: We met Michelle several years ago at a neighbor's open house. That house sold quickly. The next year we went to another, again represented by Michelle. That house, also sold immediately. We decided we would use Michelle. Fast forward 2 years to this last winter, and Michelle helped us prepare to place our house on the market. We were initially disappointed at the price point she wanted to list the house at, but she had multiple data points to back up her price point. Our place was old and had a lot of disclosures we needed to work through. I bought the place and found lots of problems, and didn't want to leave our buyers in the same situation. She went item by item through our disclosures and help us be honest to the buyers. Our first weekend it was on the market, she found us NINE offers, all over asking, and all aware of the issues our house came with. We were shocked. She presented the offers and gave us some advice, but allowed us to make the decision. We obviously encountered a few issues with the inspections, which she worked diligently to find us resources that would help remedy the situation and always made our appointments, sometimes even when we couldn't. She seemed to always have another resource to call, even if one told us something we didn't like. She worked day and night to help negotiate with very difficult buyers, and lost story short, kept positive through a tough negotiation, and never strayed from doing what was best for us. Our first buyer wanted more work done than we were willing. We decided to walk away from our first buyer -- and she gave us wholehearted support, even though it may have impacted her financially. She truthfully wanted the best for us.. Within a day, we had secured another buyer thanks to her working relationships she has. This buyer was much more reasonable, but still required Michelle to juggle some strange issues with our 100 year old house. Every question that came up, she seemed to have an answer to. She helped us negotiate, and fix the issues, while still selling far above what we had asked for. At the same time, she worked to show us homes all across the west side that would help fit our needs. We fought with one seller for several weeks over a home and ultimately worked to get an accepted offer. In the middle of all of this, we went on a planned trip to Europe for two weeks. Michelle went above and beyond to make appointments with both homes while we were gone to ensure we appeased our buyers, while making sure the home we purchased had everything we wanted lined up. Michelle is terrific. She's blunt but respectful. She knows how to tell you to be realistic, but also knows exactly when and how to make her move to get you the most possible. Her business intuition is incredible. Each move she makes is calculated and well experienced. Michelle is obviously more savvy than most agents, and we found ourselves frustrated when other agents weren't as prepared as Michelle. Though, she seemed used to it. She seemed to know this chess game better than anybody -- she would call opposing agents moves before they made them. This placed us in the drivers seat selling and buying. She spent so much time with us, we almost forgot she had other clients. But she always had stories of another house she was pending on. Ms. Harper emails me around 9am this morning letting me know that the documents would be ready and to me for signature before noon. That did not happen... 5:20pm roles around and still no documents and more importantly no communication as to why, so I inquire yet again. Ms. Harper offers apology and a multitude of excuses in response. A short while after the documents are sent to me along with explanation of additional information needed. I had some inquiries of what would be required and asked why it was my responsibility as the home owner. Apparently I misunderstood the intent of Ms. Harper's communication and designation of what was my responsibility. In response, I am going to share the actual verbiage of her email to me: "Mr. Jones, Did you even read through the documentation I sent? I am not suggesting you get the HOA document provided by the HOA. I am suggesting you fill out the SELLERS PROPERTY DISCLOSURES. And in fact, I'm suggesting you find another realtor. I am not going to deal with your attitude. Best, Ms. Harper" Shocking to say the least... We had set up a photo shoot that was two business days away and were set to list the house in four business days. All of a sudden, some standard questions become a resignation of service. Thanks for leaving me with nothing! If you like this sort of service, then this group is right for you. The individuals in this organization have a lot of fancy titles obtained by attending various classes and courses, I know it all looks great on paper. This my readers is a true life experience that happened to me. Very sad that these types of things happen in life.
